Great video again. I knew how to do this...but learned about 8 tips to make the process better!

Thanks. Another great video. I have actually used both techniques. I think you’re right. The Alpha Channel is perhaps a little better than green screen. But this is a great back up option. However, I still found the graphics weren’t quite as sharp as I’d like using both techniques. Hopefully the tip about setting the resolution might help.

You're brilliant. When I upgraded to Catalina and noticed that the Apple Pro Res 4444 wasn't rendering any transparent backgrounds anymore I was so enraged. After a week with Apple Support on the phone I had to go back to Mojave via TimeMachine. Happy to see there was another solution to this.

I’ve had problems with the green/blue screen technique when I was wearing blue. It keyed on the blue as well as the green background. Your other method works much better. Now, if only Apple will fix the problem with Catalina I’ll be able to update my MacOS.

In some of your last video you showed easyier way to put keynote animation to imovie, by using cuted off background in animation and saved the file as a movie. Since I saw your video I am using your solitions in my projects. It works. Thank you

Love your “how-Togo’s”. They’ve helped me completely transform how I’m presenting my business on all social media platforms. Question though...I own a healthy seasoning business so I video myself cooking, creating recipes and just conversating with my followers. Most of my shoots are in my kitchen but I want to create a “make-shift” or a virtual “kitchen background” to use as my backdrop in iMovie. Can this be done directly in iMovie or a collaboration with Keynote?

Great tutorial thank you! Wondering in Keynote can’t we just put the background as “no fill” so the animation has transparent background? This way you don’t have to adjust and remove the green background in iMovie, also the green edges can be avoided.

Hello Mike, great video as usual I am struggling with one task and that is, to play a green screen video of a waterfall in my keynote presentation itself, means i want to overlap this video on a slide by making the green screen invisible, on an image we can use instant alpha tool to mask unwanted areas, is it possible to do on a video as well in keynote itself, i do not want to export the whole thing into iMovie just because of this one slide, please suggest or advise if there is a solution, thanks

The other reason the use Prores 4444 is you can use it for picture in picture. Green screen and PiP are mutually exclusive.

@jamietaylor86634 жыл бұрын
Andrés Pasher I can tell you quick, hit command shift 5, select the area you want to record, click the pop up menu and chose tour audio source. Then click record! You may need to download soundflower to great a multi output device so you can record your Macs sound output and any audio input

Can't you just change the background to no fill and that way you can use picture in picture in iMovie without a green background?
@MrTjareson3 жыл бұрын
Right, that's the way I do it as well. Much easier somehow. I think he was even showing that in some of tutorial videos himself. Not sure, why the greenscreen approach for lower thirds. Plus I would imagine it creates more workload during rendering.
