Unlock Speed in Nitro RC | Hobao Hyper VS2

I never had a Hobao 2 speed, but normally there's a little set screw in the new gears you have to back out to get it to shift earlier. Also sounds super lean to me.

Yea i did loosen it a bit on the second run. Have to mess around with it some more

Tighten the 2nd speed screw. And it's way outta tune. Start with more fuel and go from there. My opinion only

Check if the gear is on the shaft the correct way. It should have a one way bearing inside and you can lock it it second gear if you put it on backwards.

Keep the tank at exactly half full put it on a bench It was running out of fuel on the low needle or both. Set it on a stand and run it with the wheels free spinning When reving it up with high blips of the throttle the idle should not hold high If it does that’s the high needle to lean. If you drive with small throttle blips and it cuts out or idles funny that’s to lean on the low. Do the bench test Idle high and set it rich enough it won’t hold high idle after a high idle rev The idle should lay down after a high speed rev and hit the brake to stop the wheels from free spinning to avoid run on Good luck bro Nitro for Life 🤘😎👊😊

think its just too much torque so its just hitting the second gear and not changing over

Str8 frustration bro...LOL!!! Thing wont shift at all. It did shift under light acceleration at 5:38, which is pretty useless at that speed.

Think the patts list will br similar as what i have in the vid. You may have to do some mods to get it to fit though.

Stock clutch is weak on these, trust me - upgrade the clutch and you will hear it shift. As stock the clutch slips so you can’t hear it shift (it does change gear, just u can’t tell)

Yea I did swap to a aluminum clutch now but took back off the 2 speed. SO might have to put it back on to test it out.

Dont trip. I got a hobo hyper gt w 2 speed gear box. Never had it shift ever and i have no idea why. Iv rebuilt the transmission etc many times. Nothing.

@@GregSupe I read a comment once and the guy said he turned the shift disc the other way round and it worked but IV never bothered because I couldn't understand the physics of how it could be possible 🤷🏾‍♂️
