I am not Jack but would like to see more videos like this. Slowing down your regular videos has helped me improve my modeling skills. Thank you!

Hi @MRPCB-qb2ge......initially I didn't want this to be a "how to" channel but I think I'll start doing a few more videos like in between the build videos as they seem helpful. Thank you for your support and input! Happy new year!

HI, Many thanks! it can work on Solid body? I tried, but when I'm going to Edit Sketch the Bodies section disappears from the browser, and I cant find and mark the faces. why?

Hi, hmmm. Fusion does this thing where moving from sketches to bodies etc, it'll automatically hide certain things. I supposed this makes sense going from sketch to body as the sketch becomes the secondary point of interest. I can't remember if I showed it in this video or mentioned it. But there is a quick step where you turn the surface into a body. And this is where you'd use a very small number with the point being to turn the surface into a body. And once you have a body, then you can make cuts into it using this workflow. Create your curved surface. It'll appear on the tree as a surface body. Then thicken this curve surface. This will create a new body in the tree that you can then project the sketches onto. Sometimes going back and forth between sketches and bodies you'll have to manually check the visibility (eye) icon in the tree. Let me know if this makes sense.

Is there any way of converting the curved surface like wing skin and fuselage skin into 2D templates so that the templates can be used to cut skin parts from materials like thin foam or paper for covering?

Hi @RCwithSohel, yes. There is definitely a way to do this. I'll be doing a short video on how to do this shortly. Thanks for the asking and stopping by!

how do you create these type of drawing in fusion 360. like top view n side view. so we have to make 3d model and then get the dimensions or just scaled drawings are possible

How do I stop the parts from moving around once I set them?
@planejanemodeling
@planejanemodeling 7 ай бұрын
Can you give a bit more context please? Parts should not be moving around unless you have selected a part with the move command and actively move it.
