Wow, what a great overview and so very appreciated, as I’ll be receiving mine later this week! Also purchased the WC-1 and am really excited to have access to all the fantastic Roland sounds, the newer ZenCore stuff and the wave expansion libraries I used to have on my formerly owned Fantoms. Love the fact that this keyboard offers so much functionality without having to be tied to a computer all the time 😊

I got this go keys 3 yesterday as a bday present.ive been playing keyboards for 35 yes and this is by far the best I've had..they were all Yamaha.. the only thing I'm stuck at is the drums .. how do you use a drum beat? Iknow you can split the keys but that's not what I mean.i mean to have it playing through . I love how I can use it as a blue tooth speaker play along to my music from my phone , and it has midi too. And record it . I have the usb drive that you also need for Roland cloud connect to download into the keyboard
@phillc
@phillc 4 ай бұрын
@@boredweegie553 hearty congratulations 👏🎉 happy to hear you're loving the GO:KEYS! You can hit the play button to get a beat started. It is hard to explain without a demonstration and I am not near my keyboard right now otherwise I would have made a video to show you the possibilities. But the summary is you can either use the drums as a standalone or you can use the accompaniment. It all starts with hitting the play button and then you can mute the accompaniment or play with the accompaniment.

Hi. Great video. I've been playing around with my niece's Casiotone CS-500, setting up the sounds in Split and Layer. Casio calls them Lower (for the left side of the keyboard, Split), and Upper 1 and Upper 2, which play together, mixed, in two Layers. You can do a Split and a Layer at the same time. Total 3 different tones/instruments. From what I see, it seems to me that Go Keys 5 can't do that. It either does Split, or it does Layer, but not both at the same time. Am I wrong?
@phillc
@phillc 3 ай бұрын
That is correct. The workaround is to look for a voice that is already layered and then split it. Like Piano and Strings layered.
