Reading the book has the powerful effect of helping me see where I am in the process, to rest there, and navigate within the process overall Thank you Rick

Great. Very good description of great music. Think of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, for example. Totally makes sense. Thank you, Rick.

1 Corinthians 14:29-33 29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Always great. When I create AI music... It's a combination of my parameter input and then most importantly, the curation of what is generated. Ultimately it comes down to taste and aesthetic, which is the result of many many years of absorbing music. My experience is the AI music i've been generating is usually better than 70-80% of the Spotify 100 new releases (which I go through religiosly every single week). In the end, AI doesn't care about your feelings about it, it's going to press on no matter what.

I actually don’t completely agree - having a limitation set of audience or style is always a factor. No one goes in and completely disregards that as a writer. If it’s too limited however it does now allow art to grow beyond the initial idea, which is what he’s essentially talking about
@CamlsDead3 күн бұрын
Why does that have to be a factor

"Limitations enhance creativity, and in music creativity is everything" - one of the most profound, yet useful things I learned back in Audio school.

If I’m trying to write to a predetermined audience, what comes out is very different than if I’m just writing what I actually to say. It’s sorta helpful to create a constraint and write for a known audience, but yeah, for me, my most authentic stuff comes out when I’m just writing what my soul wants to write. And then I discover the audience after that.
