Thank you for this? Could you please give your take on what is appropriate to use as inspiration? I'm fascinated by the art of our local indigenous peoples but i don't know if it's ok to have a series based on it. 🙏

It sounds to me like you wonder if you have the right to work with a material, and maybe because you feel you are an outsider in that particular community and have a second-hand knowledge of it. The way to work with these doubts could be to actually get closer to this culture you are fascinated by, get immersed, until you no longer feel like an outsider and a taker, but like you are sharing meaningful insights from a place of respect, knowledge and love, with proper context. It is only if you represent "the other" with a lack of authentic empathy and connection that it can be perceived as exploitative

You can make art based on anything that inspires you. You are free to create as long as you are not doing a direct literal copy of some other creation. However, take elements of the culture that attracts you and create something from your own ideas. That will be awesome!!
