Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this video! I got a Dremel 4000 for Christmas, to use for drilling holes in cabochons. I’ve yet to work-up the “nerve” for trying it! I KNOW it’s silly, as I’m told it is really easy to doo it, but I have this horrible fear of failing (breaking the cabochon, breaking a diamond bit, anchoring even hurting myself…even though I have all the safety equipment!) I needed that little extra push to get me started, and I think this video did it!
@rotarycrafts87609 ай бұрын
Awesome, this gives me motivation to make more videos. Do you have the flex shaft 225 for the 4000, it makes drilling small stuff way easier. And it moves the motor away from the water. Diamond bits are mostly harmless, I recommend using a diamond bit with a rounded tip, it gives more surface area to grind away the material. Thanks for the comment, and tell me how it went when you've done it. :)

Yes, I got the flex shaft…all the goodies. Goggles, mask, green finger tape, etc, etc, etc. It’s just the kick in the pants I need to try ANYTHING new! I have quite a few sizes of diamond drill bits. Let me see if any are “rounded”…

That's a very great job, my respect! I wondering, you showed how to cut off a bad screw, but did you find also this small things (oh what's their English name, I couldn't remember) for use a Dremel instead of a screwdriver? Cause I found only with big square base

Hi. I don't remember the brand. But it is just some hobby epoxy for woodworking. It is transparent and you can add colors to the mix.

your opinion, which is better with a wire or wireless (on battery)?
@rotarycrafts876019 күн бұрын
Hmmm. If I'd absolutely had to choose I'd go with a corded 4300 or similar. Just the reliability when woodcarving for longer sessions. But that is for me, the battery ones are a blessing to use when doing quick tasks, using attachments like the workstation or routing. And the 8250/60 has the most power of any of the Dremel models. But I'm using the flex shaft when woodcarving for longer sessions, so I prefer using a corded one for that.

Rotary tools are incredibly versatile, theres a million things you can use them for. How many of those things actually count as a different task though, is semantics imo. Not really that much functional difference whether you are using the cutoff wheel to cut a nail or a padlock, both kinda fall into the "cut metal" category. Edit: that being said, its really nice to get some suggestions and inspiration on what to actually use them on though. Alot of my bits are sitting in a storage as I dont really use them much.
@rotarycrafts876019 күн бұрын
Hehe. Yeah, some of these uses were definitely overlapping a bit. The main point of the video is for just giving out ideas and inspiration for people to use the tool. Cheers :)

Oh yeah, you missed so many things: - Making a hole in dry wall at night at an 45° angle, - doing the same at dawn with an 46° angle, - drilling a hole in dry wall at noon at an 44° angle...etc, pp..... Got the point?

@rotarycrafts8760 wow. Thanks. I love the tool, looking at the multiple usages it has, apart from cutting glass (I was introduced to Dremel, while thinking of bottle SLIDES) . Please you made circles in wood in some of the parts of your video but they didn't come as complete hollows. Can this instrument cut through and make small hollows in wood? Looking to carve my own guitar, on the wood aspect. I definitely will find it handy in some of the other things you shared. Thanks again. And thanks for taking time out to reply. God bless you
