Nice results but... id use something more industrial on it. Dremel consumables are crazy expansive. I bought an 8240 with 3 attachments and 35 accessories then another 15-20 accessories. For a hammer id use an angle grinder or a belt grinder. Not a criticism, i loved the video, just a personal note, if i may.

7:13 What size is that tiny drill bit? I think that's the size I'm flung to need to put holes in sea shells.... but also, I need that size hole in a metal cup for a craft project.... AND is this bit capable of putting a hole into a stone? I liked, subscribed, and commented, and watched to the end!!!!!

I love this, but is there a drill bit to make tiny holes? Like into a sea shell that will hang from string or wire??

Hi, awesome video, I have a small question tho, can I work with the regular corded Dremel (Not battery operated), while having its tip submerged in water? Will it give me an electric shock? I need to use it for cuting and poishing small Opal stones in water.
@rotarycrafts87606 күн бұрын
Hi. I prefer using the flex shaft if I'm using the corded models with something that involves water. It helps to get the motor away from the water. But I see many people using the corded models for cutting into opal the way you describe it. I know Dremel recommends using cordless models with some of the diamond drill bits, I think this is because an accidental cordless model in water is less harmful than a corded model. That's my 2 cents at least, it is up to you :)

Hey man I like the way you explain things and in one of your videos you were cutting with a disc something and you cut it straight. I would like to request a how to video on how to cut straight with dremmel cutting wheel something that is like PVC pipe or other cylindrical shaped like a rod or something that is thick enough that you can't just cut from one direction but have to go around it. Can you please help me with that I have been searching for video to help me with that. Every time I freehand cut a circular shaped like a pipe it comes at an extreme angle.
@JustinThomas-l8b6 күн бұрын
First of all, Why are you using the Flex Shaft to make those cuts? You should have been using the Dremel itself. Not the Flex Shaft attached to the Dremel. Let's be more logical.

I'm listening. Why is it better to use the Dremel itself?

I have the Dremel Workstation and wanted a cordless Dremel to use in it. Will the 8250 work with the workstation. I also need to use a 1/16 or 1/32 bit, will they fit in the 8250 or do I need to get a different collet? I'm basically wanting to drill a hole down the center in ¾" wood cubes. Lite duty for sure, but needs to be accurate. Thank you for your video, very helpful. Hope to hear back soon. :)

I had my gas wall furnace replaced, and had to order the rear vent for the furnace. I need to enlarge and perhaps de-burr the rectangular hole in the sheet metal a bit for the vent to slide into the furnace, it ALMOST fits perfectly. Can't find my regular dremel, so getting another one, was looking at the 4300. What is the best bit for this corded model? Since I am only very slightly enlarging the hole, the carbide bit? The sanding bit? I don't want to overdo it, this is a very small amount of metal to be removed.

The screw-on metal cutting disks are way, way more economical than the EZ locks. $10 for a pack of 20 vs $15 for 5 EZ lock cutting disks. That’s $0.50 vs $3.00 per disk. I just did a couple of projects carving 2 mm mild steel, and went through a lot of disks. Probably 5 EZ locks and 10 screw ons. I only had one screw-on snap on me. I was wearing goggles and a respirator, so I wasn’t worried. The screw ons were easier to get into tight corners since they are smaller. I also wasted a lot of the EZ locks cutting bigger lines than I needed. This meant they were not 2x as durable in practice for my application.
