I love sport mode on my Badlands, I almost exclusively drive it in the mode. It's way more responsive and auto start stop is disabled in that mode. The lack of double honk is great! I knew I hated it, but now I know even more that it's been gone for a while, lol.

Great video very helpful My question is, if for example I entered a goat mode in my base Bronco that wasn’t there before example Baja mode, does that really give me that mode ? As I think normally the diff locks in baja and the base model doesn’t have this feature. Hope I’ve made sense :)

Yes well it will give you everything that is equipped. it wont enable the front camera since you don't have one. but anything that is there it will enable anything not available it skips.

Not at all, no errors, if you don't have the equipment needed for the mode it just enables the ones you do have. Like sport mode usually switches you to All wheel drive, but since I don't have it it just leaves me in 2 hi, and adjusts everything else it can.

Question for you..I am stilling having the head light problem..Ford replaced the headlight switch in the bronco and the problem didn't go away.I haven't told ford yet.When you use that Forscan on the bronco,did you see anything in there saying anything about the headlights?The Problem I am having is..The headlights come on all by themselves and stay on for 10 minutes then shut off.Then when I go out and open the door to get in,the headlight switch is off with No LED lights on the switch .I also hear the light noise saying that the lights are on.So..I have to turn the headlight switch back on to AUTO and then everything is normal.

I have not had that issue at all, have heard it is an issue from a couple of people but have not seen it myself luckily. I have not seen anything specifically for the headlights in forscan but next time Im in I will look around.

When you say "save a backup", is that the same as "save original profile" in the very beginning of the process. Or is that another step I missed?

Yes that's what that means

Yes save the original profile, you can also save a new version of it before each change you make if you want to be extra cautious so you only have to roll back to last known good profile you had if something gets screwed up.

I have a question 🤔 but first let me set up the question. When i was in 4 scan to add sport mode on my badlands bronco. It added sport mode however when i put my badlands bronco in to sport mode i have to manually turn my traction control off and it puts me in 4A. Now the question Is this normal? I HAVE READ THAT SPORT MODE WHEN IN USE SHOULD TURN OFF TRACTION CONTROL AND SAYS NOTHING ABOUT 4A.... PLEASE HELP!!!!

Sport mode doesn't turn off traction control, at least it never has for me, and I have Black Diamond that came with sport mode. I dont have 4A at all so not sure what the deal with that is.

I have a 2.3L 7 speed manual Badlands. Would it be worth adding sport mode? Also how much is that connecting cable?

The cable is like $35 now it looks like it has gone up in price a bit. Being a manual you wouldn't get any benefit of the adjusted shift points , but it still adjusts the steering, and acceleration a bit too. so you would still have those, but not sure it would be a huge difference with manual trans.

Do the goat modes actually do anything constructive? What I have read they are nothing when compared to the atac and traction modes that Toyota has in the 4Runner

the traction modes and goat modes are pretty different, Atrac in toyota is a smart locker, instead of having the dif locked or unlocked is just waits until it notices wheel spin and then locks it, where BRonco you either lock it or unlock it. The Goat modes are just preconfigured settings for different situations, you turn one dial and it sets everything, like locking lockers ( or turning on atrack if it was a toyota) changing transfer case settings.. 2WD 4hi 4 low, etc.. things you can set independently just more convienient to do it wil a single button . There are some other changes that happen too that you can not set manually in the bronco.. like updating shift points and steering responsiveness.

If Ford finds that the change directly caused the issue you are trying to get fixed under warranty , they could deny it. That is the case for any change you make to any vehicle. Now will adding an extra mode to your Bronco. cause any problems that would directly cause an error. no.

The biggest question I have is if I do unlock sports mode to my Badlands, will Ford void my factory warranty and my extended warranty if they see this was tampered with? I know this is an old video but does anyone know if with four scan. Can you calibrate the speedometer for bigger tires. TC Customs said something about tearing the dash apart to plug in some kind of inline connector. 😊

yes can be done with Forscan. no need to tear anything apart. kzbin.info/www/bejne/emqUmXaqmKqpr8ksi=IqZO3HReA-934rnE THe largest you can go is 38's though once you try going any larger than that it start throwing errors, but thats the same even if you use Fords tools too.

Most likely can be done on the sport as well however the tables themself may be different so would have to compare a few models against each other to see which ones has which settings to confirm the correct ones to change.

Not sure, you can use the Ford Pass app to remote start it though even if you do not have remote start built in , so the ability is there, not sure if you could just buy a remote and program it to make it work or what.

If ford wants to absolutely. They will look at the file and see it has been altered, they don't care what has been altered. And even putting it back to stock they can see when the write was done and know you did something.

I think with this you can save settings before making any changes and after. That way you can restore the factory settings before taking it in for service then easily change it back to the way you like it afterwards. Not sure if they would still be able to tell something had been changed or not though. And of course if you have a potential warranty issues with the computer itself and can't access it to revert back to factory you'll be at the dealer's mercy. Some will honor the warranty unless it's obvious what you did directly caused the problem and some look for any reason they can find to deny a warranty claim.
