To me, Kenny Werner said it all (see 1:09:05). There is a lot of creative musicians out there without the patience to develop a musical language. Many musicians also sabotage themself in learning to much things instead of learning only a few. The goal of only learning a few musical elements is to make those elements your own. That is what you'll eventually own who will free you up, musically speaking. There is a time to let the music in you speak by itself but there also a time to practice adequatly to develop a musical language of your own.

I agree with Glass it is very difficult to write what you hear. Putting on paper is very difficult it limits what you really hear in your head.

At moments, you could cut a piece of meat with the tension that's in that room. Egotistical, accomplished men filled with secret contempt for each other.

That is what you see. What you see, perceive and the overall conclusion you've arrived at, however is not an accurate representation of the reality that you are observing. I see it wholly differently. You don't seem very apt at observing body language. I am a psychologist by profession, so the way I look at human interaction might vary from a human being such as you.

Maybe you are reading into it too much... perhaps you should read Kenny Werner's book about shedding all the things you've learned & finding the true inspiration that lies within haha
