Extremely helpful! We are all lucky to have such a well organized tutorial available. I have been wondering if this stuff was possible for many months and such information too often doesn't exist or is just buried with all the youtube garbage out there that simply wastes time. You have opened up a new world of understanding for me. Thank you.

Hey Everyone! This problem was brought to my attention for the Native Instrument Symphony Series String section but I know for a fact that this will also be applicable with other libraries. So if you're having trouble with articulations not triggering in the string section then this could be a solution. In the Sound Set Editor, within the Programs tab, the Sound ID you need for the string section are as follows: Violin I: strings.violin.ensemble Violin II: strings.violin.ensemble.2 Viola: strings.viola.ensemble Cello: strings.violoncello.ensemble Bass: strings.contrabass.ensemble Make sure that after you save it in the Sound Set Editor you change it in Sibelius: Play Tab > Setup > Manual Sound Sets > Device: Strings Once you're there change all of the Program names to something else, then change it back to the intended name. Sibelius remembers the old setting so changing it then switching back sets it to the new settings. You can verify the change happened when the Sound ID is the same as the Sound IDs I listed above. After that, restart Sibelius and see if it works now.

This is very useful! Thank you! I have a question regarding the multi-note sample (ref. +/- 21:00) radio button. I see you ticked it for trills, but not for other articulations. Wouldn’t it be safer to tick it for all articulations seeing that most instruments are composed of multi samples nowadays? Maybe, I haven’t completely understood the concept of multi-note sample…

"Multi-note" in this context means: "a patch that cycles between 2 or more notes." If you record a trill into your DAW without this checked, it will record each individual note used in the trill and probably not active the patch. But if you do have the box checked then it will active the patch and record just one note for the trill. It's not necessary for patches that play one note. Even if you play a chord it's not the same thing as a trill or tremolo. Glad you liked the video though!

What library are you all using to follow along? Also, should I do the Drum Map video next or continue onto Sibelius and come back to the Drum Map in a later video?

Hi DeVante I had one more question how you set the spitfire UACC under the keyswitches tab?
@The1Composer2 жыл бұрын
Make a new Controller called UACC and set the cc value to 32 and default to 1. Set the switch type to controller instead of keyswitch and use the value of the UACC articulation eg. Legato is UACC 20

A Kontakt example in the SSE community at last!! :) Thanks so much!!. Low priority comment: Your voice is very hard to hear (sounds like mid and hi frequencies were filtered out)

Yeah I had to do A LOT of R&D to figure it out. I’m glad you enjoyed it Also thanks for letting me know. It’s hot in Cali and I didn’t want my fans to get recorded (thus the freq drops). I hope the problem is fixed in subsequent episodes 😅
