Be sure to check out the Notion document: bytesizedbooksmith.notion.site/NSFW-GPT-in-Novelcrafter-cdaa8e8372514751bb7494591aed3500?pvs=4 There's an important step I missed (creating a nested reference) and I've added some additional thoughts I've had since creating the video yesterday. All my additions are in yellow. Shout out to Spacemotion, the developer of Novelcrafter, who brought it to my attention!

If it wasn't clear in the video, the NSFW model that I used during the video was Auto, which redirected me to Mistral: Medium. The temperature was set to 0.6. Earlier in the day, I also used Dolphin 2.6 Mixtral. I originally had it set at a temperature of 0.4, but that was too low. I ended up raising it to 0.6. I definitely preferred the content from Mistral: Medium (Auto).

Hello Angie! You are doing amazing work! I have watched all your videos to be able to create a Workflow and create amazing novels.. I have a few questions. 1) I have seen that you have created entries Universal Fantasies. My question is how do you format them to be able to import them into Novelcrafter and BE usefull? For example, for Tropes it is quite easy. Either you type them from the referrenced books either you ask GPT and provides the info (as you did) and you copy paste them into the Codex. I have purchased 2 of Taylor's books 7FF Universal Fantasies and the one of Romance. I can't find how could I exctract and use those information into the Codex and story. There is too much context around each novel ex. Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella etc that if I try to rewrite ito be able to add it into the Codex It will be garbish. 2) I see you have created multiple entries into the codex such as MMC (General, Physical Appearance, Emotional Status, How the speak etc) and then all of them you make nested references. Have you seen that this way works better than having all the info into 1 Codex Entry? 3) In your framework I didn't see that you are included the Universal Fantasies Codex Entry. Have I missed something? 4) I purchased also after you suggestion TNT storybuilder. You suggest to delete the fluff/questions and add only what must be contained in the chapter?
@ByteSizedBooksmith4 ай бұрын
Thank you for the kind words. 1) You can treat a Universal Fantasy like you do a trope and add your Butter as a category to the Codex to reference in Chat. I have mine lumped into a single entry, but that was more of a reminder to me (and I still managed to forget it). You could use ChatGPT to create the entry since it knows what Universal Fantasies are in relation to 7-Figure Fiction. Let me know if you want an example. 2) The reason why I have them nested is for me to categorize the information more than anything. It is a personal preference because I prefer to keep my entries short. 3) You're right, I completely skipped it in this video. Believe it or not, I get really nervous when recording. 4) I actually threw the whole TNT Storybuilder into ChatGPT and had it distilled down into a template that referenced the following: - FMC: Female Main Character - MMC: Male Main Character - OBSTACLE: Internal conflict keeping them apart - SUBPLOT: External conflict keeping them apart I believe I also may have touched on this briefly in the Outline video? If not, let me know and I can look for the exact prompt I used.

Is there a way to copy a codex built for a genre into a new book? For example one creates a detailed generic codex for a certain genre, and then pulls that into a new book and adds new characters, locations etc. is this possible?
@ByteSizedBooksmith2 ай бұрын
So you have a couple of options with this. You can create your generic one as Book 0 and use it as a series Codex, which I typically do. As long as that book is part of the "Series," you can click the "Move to Series" button, and each entry you select will be available for the other books in the series. Or you can have a specific Codex that you use for plotting. Then copy/paste the entries into a Codex for your series. The benefit of doing it this way is that you don't have to keep recreating your plotting Codex for each project, and you can ensure you only give the story the information it needs without having too much context or having the AI give away spoilers.

So I would be willing to pay 100$ for a more thorough video, covering the things that you’re not allowed to show here, and I believe that there are many other people that would as well if you were to include a step-by-step start to finish process for creating the various GPT’s that you have come up with. Thank you.

How does one set the temperature of a model? Are there other processes that need to be done before that option is available?
@ByteSizedBooksmith5 ай бұрын
I'm going to assume you're in Novelcrafter. If not, please let me know otherwise. 1. Click Prompts (it's at the lower left-hand corner of your screen near you picture) from inside your book. 2. Click the Prompt that you want to edit, either in Scene Completion or Workshop Chat (depending on what you're doing). NOTE, you can't change the settings on a System prompt. You MUST create a clone. 3. Click the > arrow by the LLM you want to change the settings for. This will give you more information about that model and give you the option of changing a few different settings (Temperature, Top P, Maximum Tokes, Frequency Penalty, and Presence Penalty). 4. Click inside of the box you want to change and either add a number or change the number that is in there. Let me know if that helps!

I finished 7FF. Is there a reason you put the butter and the UF each in one entry instead of having a butter and UF category with individual codex entries?
@ByteSizedBooksmith5 ай бұрын
Honestly, they were a placeholder until I decided which Universal Fantasies that I wanted to use. You would use them like tropes and they should have their own entry. You could create a custom category for them like I did for Framework and Tropes as well.

@@ByteSizedBooksmith Ok. That's what I was thinking. Thanks.

when you said you use this for series, this would be set up as a standalone "book" in NC, but then you would use the outline you generated, and stick that into your actual novel in your actual series, right?
@ByteSizedBooksmith5 ай бұрын
Yes, exactly! I actually create a Book 0 in my series and make sure that the codex entries can be shared with all the other books. Then I do my planning in Book 0 and transfer everything that I need into each book project within that series. Let me know if that makes sense or if you'd like me to film a quick video.
