He said base on the Holy spirit that tells us we are Christians 32:42 , however, I find that weird, I thought I just have to believe that Jesus died for my sins, and thereon walk with Him, then I am a Christian. What is this second test? This leads me to the problem of divine hiddenness. I dont think this is it. I think God does whatever He wants. It is not only what I will then the Holy spirit will come upon me. Dont get me wrong, of course experiencing the Holy Spirit will confirm and assure my faith, but even if I dont, I still remain a Christian nonetheless.

Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit and were struck dead on the spot, would their salvation still secured and go to heaven? This question troubled me for sometime just as the ungodly believers in the Corinthian church when Paul instructed they be disciplined so their souls be saved. I would greatly appreciate David provide his view on this. Thanks in advance.

Hi this is Steve on behalf of David This is one questions David has been asked many times - to which his answers is that he has filed the question under “Ill know when I get there “ David does not know because the Bible does not say ...... we can speculate but we just don’t know for certain til we get there ......the consequence of sin is death and because we are all sinners we will all die ......but salvation is another question ....

Yes i thoroughly agree about keeping short accounts . The C of E has many faults but prayers like the confession and absolution are biblical and spot on. Likewise the prayer of humble access ( Cranmer ) is so right . I always say it silently , even if its not included in a simpler service. K

34:00 The jewish people are not sons of God and for Pawson to even say this is heretical. He just goes through the letters of John where John is clear that you only love God if you love His son. God's children are ONLY those who believe Jesus is the promised Messiah.

7:00 The Tridentine mass which was the only way to divinely worship the Lord for hundreds of years in the Church protected the maleness of the Church and prevented the women from emasculating the men. Now with the anti-Catholic "mass" from Vatican 2 the devil has wormed his way into the destruction of the mass and the ceasing the eternal sacrifice (see Jesus prediction referring to Daniel the prophet).

I also dont agree it is just past sins only that are forgiven, what if you passed away without your last unknown sins unrepented? following this logic, dont you go straight to hell? I think my future sins are forgive, but my actions must reflect that faith, which means i must ask for forgiveness as a sign of acknowledging that i did wrong to maintain a good relationship at least in my full capacity of understanding what I did wrong. Even though asking for forgiveness is important, it is not what that cause me to be saved, i am saved only because Christ died for my sins. To say anything else is to attribute salvation to my actions or whatever attributable to me, which is dangerous, as I would then be claiming gods glory and am boasting about it.
@DavidPawsonMinistry4 ай бұрын
This is not a simple topic but Hebrews 10:26 states If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left - if you carry on deliberately sinning your future sins are not forgiven and in fact cannot be forgiven - there is no sacrifice left Eph 2:8 We are saved by Gods Grace - through Faith and not by Works - What is often missed in translation is that the Greek word for Faith has a present AND a continuing expectation - "through remaining faithful " Jesus said if you love me obey my commandments Jesus said you have been baptised but your feet still need washing Acts 2 states repentance for the forgiveness of sin - the key to forgiveness is repentance not just acknowledge - turn away from and change
@thienyetan20354 ай бұрын
@@DavidPawsonMinistry thank you for your response, but I think change often takes time, and it's no surprise that people fall back into sin, sometimes even deliberately. To leave no room for forgiveness doesn’t promote any real transformation, which is why I believe remaining faithful means continuing to try. God searches the heart-giving up entirely is different from falling and getting back up. Future sins being forgiven isn’t a license to sin, but an acknowledgment that we will falter. Our actions, like asking for forgiveness, reflect our faith and help maintain a relationship with God, but they don’t save us; only Christ’s sacrifice does that. To attribute salvation to our repentance alone is to claim God's glory and boast. Repentance is essential to realign ourselves with God, but salvation rests on Christ. Ephesians 2:8 emphasizes faith as ongoing, and continuing to strive, despite failures, is the true expression of remaining faithful. Edit(clarifying few more points to consider): Hebrews 10:26 refers to those who deliberately reject Christ, not believers who falter while still striving for righteousness. Claiming that future sins cannot be forgiven unless perfectly repented for undermines the boundless nature of Christ’s sacrifice. God's grace isn't fragile or conditional upon our flawless repentance-it is precisely because we are imperfect that grace exists. While repentance is vital for maintaining our relationship with God, to suggest salvation depends on our ability to repent fully shifts the focus from Christ's finished work to our own actions. This risks turning salvation into something we can earn, which diminishes God's glory and turns faith into a performance. Salvation rests entirely on Christ’s atonement; our repentance realigns us with Him, but it’s His grace that ultimately saves us. Edit 2: It seems we have a different understanding of what "change" looks like in a believer's life. You define change as a decisive turning away from sin, where true repentance must lead to consistent action and breaking from deliberate sinning. Meanwhile, I see change as an ongoing process, where striving for righteousness doesn’t mean perfection, but continuing to return to God even after failure. This difference seems to lie in whether deliberate sin automatically reflects a rejection of Christ or an acknowledgment of human frailty while still striving to improve. Edit 3: I want to clarify that my intention here is not to engage in a debate, but to have a meaningful discussion and explore different perspectives. I deeply respect David Pawson and his contributions, and I honor his memory as he has now passed away. My goal is to approach this conversation with the utmost respect and understanding for his views and legacy.
@DavidPawsonMinistry4 ай бұрын
@@thienyetan2035 we agree with one exception. When it comes to sin there can be no compromise - the consequence of sin is death. Salvation is conditional on remaining faithful. There is no excuse for "deliberately " committing a sin and Hebrews 10 is quite specific - to deliberately " keep on" sinning The greatest example of this is in the Old Testament : just look what happened to the Israelites who left Egypt because of a lack of "remaining faithful" - only two of the original exodus made it into the promised land, Joshua and Caleb
