David Pawson says Isaiah is a collection of prophecies made over 40 years and is not ordered, so he gives the ‘shape’ of the book to help with our understanding. Chapters 1-10 are a reproof for Judah; 13-23 deal with nations that God used to discipline Israel but who were too harsh - they will now be judged. 24-34 speak of judgment on the northern tribes and Judah. But there are 2 sections sandwiched that are good news. God gives his people a little glimpse of a brighter future. 36-39 are narrative of King Hezekiah’s illness and show how Assyria gave way to Babylon as the main threat. This first part is leading to the people’s exile from their land. Even so, there will be a remnant to return and there will be a King who will bring peace to the nations. The second section shows a wonderful picture of God all the way through. He’s the only God there is, he’s the Almighty Creator, the Holy One of Israel, the Kinsman Redeemer, the Saviour of the nations, and the God of history. Also, to the Jew there is a mysterious figure who has a faultless character, is a Man of sorrows, is killed for the sins of others and is raised from the dead and exalted. Believers recognise that this is a prophecy of Jesus.
David also has a book on this series find out more here: www.davidpawson.co.uk/search/...

Incredibly perceptive in the Biblical synthesis sometimes. Jesus came to prepare a people for his coming reign. It's a love thing. But now a lot of Jesus's parables fit into place nicely for me, meaning eschatologically, I suppose.

Thank you for looking up the verse. One problem though is I stick with the King James and again it does not mention him whipping anybody with an exception of the oxen and cattle. 9:30 No we must not "sympathetically understand the problem the jews have" with their misunderstanding of Isaias. Jesus explained the connection and the jews rejected Him. The jews are now an accursed race and the new Jerusalem is the Christian faith established by Jesus before He ascended into heaven.

Romans 3:3 referring to the Jews “will their unfaithfulness nullify Gods Faithfulness ? Never! “ And then vs 9 “What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬ We are all accused - we have all sinned and fallen short The consequence of sin is death The Church has not replaced the Jews Gods covenant to The Jews can’t be broken by their rejection of Jesus “The new Jerusalem being the Christian faith” is your interpretation …….. it’s not something David teaches

@@DavidPawsonMinistry Romans 3:1-3 "What advantage then hath the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? Much every way. First indeed, because the words of God were committed to them. For what if some of them have not believed? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid." Paul was a Jew and preached to the jews as he understood now the fulfillment of the Old Testament. Jesus came for the jews first but they rejected Him. Not Paul preaches that those who believe in the namde of Jesus are the true children of God. The jews are an accursed race and will not enter the kingdom of heaven UNTIL they bend to the name of Jesus. Romans 10: 12-14 "For there is no distinction of the Jew and the Greek: for the same is Lord over all, rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. How then shall they call on him, in whom they have not believed? Or how shall they believe him, of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear, without a preacher?"
