I'm convinced that the possum is Jordan. He reacted to Joanne (his sister) talking on the walkie-talkie and walked closer to the screen, he even tried to jump through to escape! And when he said "JO! ...JOH!! ...JOH!!!", I was thinking that was the soul of a child trapped in the possum, and when looking back at the tapes and remembering Jordan's dissapearance being mentioned in the first chapter (as well as here), it finally clicked. The possum is Jordan, he's definitely in there! Now I'm upset that he'll never get to see his sister again after... *THAT* happened...

I would like to push that theory a bit further, because while they were pinning him to the ground he managed to scream out JO-AHH. I think the opossum is not only jordan, but also that little kid we see in the video jumping around wildly. And that was something it did repeatedly almost everytime it was seen, like a little kid with the zoomies always getting into something and pestering older kids. BUT when it heard Jo-Ann's voice it stopped and approached the screen slowly before it tried to voice the name.

Would fit the story told, with him being the dragon breathing fire when trying to communicate, and it can’t be woolie because woolies eyes turn black in the storybook tape, and the first monster is summoned. Woolie is prob a cult member, because Amanda doesn’t trust him, and he’s a literal sheep. Also because in the broken tapes many woolies are chanting around Amanda.

You know, i have a feeling that the story goes just like the story that Amanda's drawing goes. Ther is a A knight and a princess, Sam and Amanda . Then the knight leaves the princess or better to say that he got kidnapped 15:23 So Amanda just like princess goes to get help from a wizard , the Hameln . But the wizard transforms the princess into a dragon. Like turning Amanda into the tv show that make children disappear by doing surgerys that we saw some parts throughout the glitches. So from now on mabey the story somehow goes like the rest of the drawings. That is why Amanda was interested into the tragedy story than the happy story . Because it was her story .

Yes! And her trying to tell the knight that it's her but only spitting out fire is Rebecca (aka Amanda) being silenced by the entity in control and not letting her speak out, so she just has to go with everything around her since she can't stop it. The knight slaying the dragon is most likely going to refer to Rebecca dying. It's possible Sam may end up killing his daughter because she is the entity, and then when it turns out its his daughter he's distraught and depressed. It's also possible this already happened in a sense. Maybe Rebecca did die. (Or this will happen in the future->) Maybe the father tried to remove the stuff she was hooked up to in the hospital and it ended up killing her (since it was keeping her alive while her mind/soul was put into the tv show, or at least that's the theory), forever trapping her soul in the tapes.

This might also be referencing Jordan and Joanne. I think Jordan is the second monster because it resembles a possum, and the story where the dragon breathed fire could mean he wanted to embrace his sister but got too silly. Just a small goof. A lapse in judgment Logan Paul reference if you would.

Unpopular opinion but I don’t believe that wooly is the bad guy as many want to believe. I think that he was also a victim of Hameln but is in denial of that fact and in a way is kind of fighting off Hameln’s influence by downplaying the demonic stuff happening (much to Amanda’s chagrin). The fact that he also has a demon like Amanda’s, plus his reaction to Riley saying horror is their favorite genre which shows butcher imagery (similar to Amanda’s nightmare) and him screaming out NO makes it seem like he is also going through the same things Amanda is going through, but again is trying his best to ignore it. In the we can fix it tape, there’s a moment where Amanda, Wooly, and the opossum start sinking to the ground while someone from Hameln speaks about children and their potential. Both Amanda (who represents Rebecca) and the opossum (possibly being Jordan, Joanne’s brother) are fighting off and are scared of sinking, but wooly is just still. He even closes his eyes in resignation. I think Amanda is sick of wooly because he seems to try so hard to pretend that everything is okay when it clearly is not. Wooly tries his best to just ignore the bad and demonic stuff while Amanda embraces it. Honestly sucks for both of them because they’re forced to always be together when Amanda hates his guts and Wooly is always pushing Amanda to shut up and pretend everything is normal

I feel like they want Wooly to be the villain because why not. The butcher is the true villain, who might be a doctor because when he appeared on screen it looked like there was some medical stuff. Wooly and Amanda are afraid of the butcher. Amanda definitely has control over wooly and she can hurt him. If it was Hameln then Wooly would have more control over everything.

Funny enough Wooly seems to exist to ease Amanda's pain. She hates being alone, the idea of not being saved, and the feeling like something bad is happening to her. However she loved hearing about the knight ending up with a tragic fate along with his princess. Top it off she loved how miserable it made Wooly since it was his story getting ruined. She went from depressed, back to her old self. She hates Wooly and loves tormenting him, when she's doing that. That's when she's the happiest, and when he's away she gets miserable. Amanda seems to depend on misery to sustain herself. Wooly is just the unfortunate sap that she can torment to sooth her pain.

I just read a good point. If wooly was Hamlin then they would want the tapes protected. However Amanda's entity showed up when the tapes were getting destroyed. Wooly's entity showed up when they weren't. Wolly's been on the side of destroying the tapes since the begining.

On the surface level, he is definitely antagonistic towards Amanda, I just think his motives are different than just Hameln using him to control Amanda. The way I personally see Amanda and Wooly’s relationship is that Wooly, by vehemently downplaying what is going on, is also brushing off Amanda’s negative feelings about herself. Amanda doesn’t trust wooly because he can’t handle the truth of the matter; Rebecca is dead (or is alive but is being used for demonic purposes) and they are victims to the butcher (which I believe is the real representation of Hameln). I get why Amanda is so vitriolic towards wooly, he really is an obstacle that always seems to get in her way. Also, interesting detail about the bad and true ending. Further adding to this, in the other we can fix it tape, Wooly tries to destroy items that Amanda believes are fixable (I think this represents the tapes) whereas later Amanda believes that the butterfly and her heart can’t be fixed yet wooly believes they can be despite him not trying to fix the items earlier on (the butterfly represents Rebecca and her heart being wrong is the negative influence Hameln has on her). I’m very curious as to what the implications mean and how it plays out in the next game (please let there be a next game 🤞🏽)

I think when a soul is trapped in the video tapes, an entity gets released out into reality or the entity gets a new form based on the appearance of the one trapped. The possum is a new 'character' and hasn't been seen in the previous tapes in the first game. Amanda and Wooly don't know who the possum is either as a clue that this is a very recent event, another person was actively added to the series of interconnected tapes. This means that there are now actively three entities running around or there are three forms of one given entity. Amanda seems to have some limited control over her entity personally, since it is inexorably tied to her state of mind. Wooly is trying to keep the mood positive constantly. Wooly may be more aware of the situation and is trying to keep the entity he is directly responsible for from harming anyone or is trying to use optimism as a shield. The possum, who is possibly 'Jo', is a very recent addition to things in the time it took to travel to the library.

The gasp I gasped when Joanne revealed herself and then connecting her name to what the possum was calling out when he heard her voice on the walkie-talkie; I'm CRYING. Now it makes so much more sense why the possum was so disruptive. He was just a kid and kids are naturally all over the place! And moreover, the reason why there really is no trail of the missing children is because the entity can literally just spring out of reality and then take whoever it can take their hands on. Something that I noticed is that Wooly seems to be incredibly "kid-friendly", a boring fantasy kids tale, save the birds, "don't talk to strangers", etc. But Amanda by contrast wants all the opposite of Wooly, a more mature, tragic story, help the cats survive, recognize that even the places and people that you think are safe, maybe aren't. The tapes say that the Club has been working for 14 years and that Rebecca was missing for about 15 I think. Maybe Rebecca grew up at least mentally while in the tapes or wherever she is and has gotten tired of the boring paint-by-numbers kids' morals she's made to trudge through every tape. She's a teen/young adult at least partially now, she wants more mature things, a smelly swamp, a more interesting story, a deeper moral. But she was still traumatized by Hameln or the Monster or what happened to her, so she still needs the nightlight, still wants that comfort of someone and someplace safe to trust. Just something I noticed.

Theory - the possum is Joanne's brother, Jordan. Think about that last cutscene with the possum. Before finally being dragged off, instead of growling it starts going "Joh, Joh, Joh..." It showed up when Joanne started being involved in the story. It wanted Joanne.

Another thing i found interesting is depending on what ending you get a different demon kills Joanne. The normal ending you never see the possum (I think) and it's Amanda who hears Joanne's voice on the radio. Then she makes a point in saying she's not sure if she's ready to trust Riley. Then Joanne destroys a tape and something is released. Caps off with Amanda's entity killing her. The true ending has the possum hearing Joanne's voice and tries to call out to her before Amanda and Wooly dispose of him. Then Amanda makes a point of saying she actually is starting to trust Riley. The tapes are never destroyed and it's Wooly's entity that kills her in a far more gruesome way than Amanda's does. So my theory is kinda goes along with what somebody else said. Maybe Amanda's entity isn't bad per say. It seems to listen to her and will only get hostile with Riley if she makes Amanda angry. Plus her entity kills Joanne when she destroys a tape so that might not be the solution. Maybe the soultion to getting Rebecca out is to watch the tapes. Which leads me to believe the true ending of not destroying the tapes is what makes Wooly's entity kill her instead. Maybe Wooly isn't there to keep Amanda happy but to keep her from remembering. He tries to divert her attention from being upset about her current state becauss if she does that's bad news for Hamlen. So if the tapes are the way to save her it would makes sense for him to kill Joanne for giving them to Riley.

Small addendum: if you notice after Amanda's entity rips the wooly doll you hear a distant roar. Then Amanda's entity appears to shake and breathe heavily like it's terrified. Also I wonder if Amanda's entity actually didn't kill Joanne. The noises were between the 2 entities attacking her are vastly different. I'm willing to believe Amanda's entity just dragged her off or something.

Extra, So if you notice, without speeding the credits, it sounds like Wooly is taking Joanne somewhere as the theme music starts overtaking the sounds. Thinking this hints that the monsters take people into the tapes, maybe as one if the sad eyed background characters.

Biohazard boxes are pretty common in cerrtain parts of the hospital. Patient rooms, med rooms, surgery rooms, and even hallways between nursing stations. Many medicines and fluids have to be disposed off and that's that purpose of biohazard boxes. What I can gleam from this in the video is that they are using a lot of heavy and frequent drugs on Rebecca and it's likely a frequent dosage of a specific medicine. IVs or maybe a narcotics? Don't know if this helps but it's just my observation of the lime green tape.

It fascinates me that Amanda despite hating being lonely, having a fear of death, and hates feeling sick. Loves when something horrible happens to someone else. She hated the princess and the knight having a happy ending, and loved when it ended in tragedy with the knight being forever alone. I think in order to ease her pain she has to inflict it on others, she hates Wooly but she tolerates him so long as she can torment him.

I dunno about that. Someone can gain catharsis by listening to a tragedy about characters without wanting the tragedy to actually happen to real people. I think it’s more likely that she has seen more of the harsh realities of the world than Wooly wants her to think about. Wooly wants to protect her, to “pull the wool over her eyes”. Amanda just wants someone to actually listen to her

He's still trying to give out messages that may have been true to the original version of Amanda, before Hamlin took over. "Don't talk to strangers." "The Importance of patience." ""needing permission from parents before doing something dangerous." Amanda. was promoting for kids to go off into the wilderness alone without telling an adult. In some moments, you'll notice that when Amanda is trying to say something, like during Goodnight when she says something along the lines of "I'm scared of something that happened--", the tape seemingly has a static moment, Amanda would flinch almost like she got scared or was in pain for saying that, and she changes her words to "something I wish I could forget." Keeping it more vague about what happened to her. Amanda taking on a darker route is Amanda/Rebecca's effort to canceling the kids show to end Hameln's efforts. Wooly then is trying to keep Amanda on script. Keep the show running. Heck in this game, Wooly's supposed to the one afraid of adventures. So why is he suddenly so uptight about going on one?

Reading through the comments, I agree with a ton of people here. I believe that Joanna’s little brother Jordan (It was Jordan, right?) was turned into that possum, not Wooly. Along with Wooly being a sheep and him trying to get Amanda to calm down and go along with the story line. It’s pretty obvious that he’s there to keep her in check. Keep her tame and stop her from… I don’t know, something. Along with that, in the end, the possum looks to be trying to say a name, it being stopped by Wooly and Amanda. The possum had been there, being annoying, messing around, being mischievous. It takes stuff, breaks stuff, makes a mess. I think Jorden is just trying to get them to understand something. Both ending end up with Joanne dying, she either gets killed by Amanda’s entity, or, what I’m assuming is, Wooly’s entity. I mean, I turned up my phone’s brightness and really stared at the entity. It had wool, it had fangs, it looked like a sheep, even with those eyes too. All about the entity screamed sheep. I very much enjoy the character design in this game. Although, there can be two routes for Wooly, he could either be a person who worked for Hamlin and is basically a sheep because he was “a sheep” or he is a brainwashed Sam. A forcibly brainwashed Sam, maybe he escaped and as punishment they turned him into Wooly. All though if we go down the, Wooly worked for Hamlin route, then Wooly could’ve been the willing test subject before they tried with Rebecca. Another thing about that, if you look, the Wooly entity is bigger than Amanda’s, possibly hinting at him being made from an adult instead of a child. So in short, Amanda is most likely Rebecca, the Possum is possibly Jorden and Wooly, he could either be a forcibly brainwashed Sam or a willing Hamlin worker. Woo man, when I comment, I sure do comment. I’m the type of girlie to either say a lot or say nothing. If you managed to read through my whole 4am theory rant, that’s awesome. So maybe a crazy theory....but what if wooly is actually a bad guy. He keeps trying to convince amanda not to trust us, the people trying to help us. And trying way too hard to be her friend and amanda doesn't trust him for some reason. What if it's actually hamln trying to prevent her from reaching out for help. What if the opossum is actually Sam? There being an opossum entity actually makes me think even more it might be sam. Just like how there is an amanda entity that might be sam's entity. The opossum seems to alot of times trying to stop stuff that could lead to bad outcomes.

So far this is how I think the story goes: Sam has a daughter named rebecca who was the star of a live action kid show in their home town. Hamlen reaches out to sam to make an animated kid show with rebecca (i.e Amanda the Adventurer). sam and rebecca sign a contract that has something to do with hamlen being allowed to do shady stuff towards rebecca and putting her inside the show and merging her soul with a demon. As the show airs on live TV kids who watch it start to go missing including Joanne's brother Jordan. Hamlen kills sam and frame it as an accident and due to kids going missing and parents being upset at the show teaching kids bad lessons, hamlen shuts down in order to not attract attention. Kate and some other people have been searching the mystery about hamlen for 15 years since the show ended. Joanne asks Kate to help find her brother and as they try and get the tapes the entity appears and Joanne tells Kate to run away. Kate, being distraught over hamlen being a bigger evil than she thought, offs herself in a car accident. Riley (the player) goes to her Aunts house to continue what her aunt started and find rebecca. After the tv blows up Joanne shows up and tells Riley that they need to destroy the tapes and that there are more at the local library where Kate worked at. After hearing the cassette tape Joanne changes her mind and reveals that someone told her to destroy the tapes to free rebecca and asked Kate for them where Kate eventually died. Joanne feels guilty for using Riley to find her brother and asks Riley to take the tapes and leave right before an entity (that looks like wooly) kills Joanne. And now with the tape Joanne gave her, Riley is now trying to find more answers and stop Hamlen once and for all. (Some things might be wrong or left out but this is pretty much the story up till now)

15:51 -Uh-huh..I feel this is likely in the US and despite what people often believe, a signed cont act doesn't just give an entity the right to hold you to anything. For one, they can't hold you to terms you were unaware of. It's a common trope but simply hiding BS in the fine print or leageleeze does not make it binding. If there is reasonable belief that the signee was not aware of terms they were signing to, the contract is null. Further, a contract can't just state anything as terms. If the terms would infringe on the law or legal rights of the signee then it would render the contract void. For instance, you can't create a contract that tells someone they must commit perjury in court, steal something or be your slave for any period of time. You can sometimes word things to achieve a similar effect but holding a person against their will and making them record specific lines they don't want to say is absolutely not going to hold up legally.

It feels if they had true demonic power at their fingertips, they wouldn't be put into their position where they need to kidnap and convince him to do his part. They also wouldn't need to call on other demons like they are for power. I think they were trying to trick him. Notice how they change the subject when he mentions they can't legally hold him? They are trying to use some very common if not ethically right interrogation tactics to pressure him into going with what they want. Vague threats of consequence, artificial deadlines, pretending they are trying to make things easiest for the person as possible, gaslighting, redirection, lies, emotional manipulation, etc. These are the tactics of a conman still pushing the con. If they were the devil or had his powers and already got him to sign, they wouldn't be using these tactics at this point. The truth is that he must still have SOMETHING over them. He has freewill to refuse them. His soul is no theirs. If they kill him or hurt him they can't get what they want out of him as it will breach the false narrative they need him to give to Rebecca. A more important takeaway is that they are struggling to control or get her to cooperate. They need Sam to pacify and direct her. This seems to support Mike's hypothesis that Wooley is actually Sam. He's being forced into the same role by Hamlin as Sam and Wooley

@@doomhuntress886gaming the interesting thing about the new demon is that it seems to be EXTREMELY sadistic. it drags out joanne's death way longer than amanda's demon does. the entity is aggressive because amanda is afraid of you; whatever attacked joanne is looking to punish her. amanda's constant begging to get out leads me to believe that her entity didn't attack in the true ending because of what joanne said about destroying the tapes to free jordan. she wouldn't want to attack a person who's trying to help, but you know who does interfere when you try to help amanda? wooly. the opossum called for joanne before it was killed, so it's likely either kate or jordan, and neither of them would want to hurt joanne. the only thing we know for sure about wooly is that he is definitely not what he seems. whether he's a child trapped in the tapes as well, like the clips that play when you tell him you like horror movies suggest, or he's actually a hameln employee, he blocks amanda's attempts to communicate clearly or remember her past at every turn. he's either so wrapped up in maintaining this little status quo that his entity violently punishes anyone who tries to erase the show, or he himself is actively malicious and is only playing nice because amanda holds higher power within the show.

I have a theory: The Butcher is the doctor that separated Amandas’ Soul from her body. Cuz he says in We Can Fix It: “Count down from ten, you may feel a slight pinch” Doctors say that when you’re going under an anesthetic. And she has so much hate and fear for the ‘Butcher’ that it could be that he was the doctor. Or he’s the one who is a doctor but also the one who connected her to the other dimension. So the Butcher is absolutely a doctor/maybe even the head surgeon who did whatever surgery or experiment on Rebecca. Punching the air at the confirmation there's a second entity - I thought so when the Amanda Entity was in the room with us and there was a second, louder, roar in the bg as it fled. I wonder if the Wooly in this is a different one from the OG. He was pretty much dead and gone in the first game, then he just randomly shows up out of nowhere in this one. Amanda was even less happy to interact with him this time, seemed to outright *hate* him, and his personality seemed.. off. He was kinda mean, rude towards Riley at times, less helpful than before. Definitely darker than I expected. Holding Sam hostage when we thought he had died/disappeared. Poor Rebecca things he abandoned her. Jordan is actually an Opossum. Not a possum. And he's not the monster at the end. When we see the entity coming out from behind the TV and we give it the wooly plushie, it cuddles it rather than getting angry and killing us. Also remember, Rebecca and Amanda happened 15 years ago, they talk about a boy who vanished and that was 8 months ago and Jordan this is Jordan I think, because if he was the boy in the video of the reading at the library, his father would be looking for him. Not his sister. So in my opinion, Rebecca is Amanda and on life support to keep her spirit trapped. Jordan is the opossum who is new to the show and we see he was taken 8 months ago.. Wooly is still an unknown. Sam is still alive, wooly has been there from the beginning, so I don't think woolly is Sam. But the monster at the end? 100% wooly. Where will Lauren fit in? She is the most recent kid to be taken according to the first secret tape.

First thing i notice is Wooly, hes back but he just slides in like amanda didnt try to play operation on him before. Something is off about him. Amanda clearly doesnt want him around. 2. Amanda can control her monster, that thing couldve killed us when it wanted but it listened to Amanda. The monster in the end i believe to be Wooly, the way Amandas monster reacts when we give it the wooly toy is proof to me, it runs off like it senses the other one. When they attack the possum while joanne is talking to u, he says her name, he responds to her voice. An wooly comment on strangers loke he wasnt desperatly tryna warn us before. 3. Only thing though what happened to the children who went missing. We know now the possum is Jordan, we know amanda is Rebbecca. Still unknown who wooly is and still unsure if Sam is still alive.

i think Sam did die but he's not wooly cause the tape with the 'secret treasure' in the first game, she dug and saw him that's why she was shocked and recognized him cause in the first game there was a tape looking for Sam in the woods so maybe he finally read the script for her to trust them and then they didn't need him anymore so they ended him and if he was wooly they would've had to have had him on life support like Rebecca and not buried. i also did think the possum was a child as the way he was just having fun in the tapes and maybe he was blaming Amanda for trapping him and that's why it he kept attacking her, since the walk-talkie went he ran towards the screen making me think its Jordan
