Great looking Kit, glad to see a pilot included, .... so many other companies that make 1/72 scale aircraft dont supply a pilot, yet there is always a wheels up version in the builds?.... could never understand why companies do that? Airfix should release a box of pilots / co-pilots gunners, in all scales, I'm sure they'd sell out. keep up the good work, cheers.

i dont think its financially viable to always put a pilot in unfortunately

I look at the sprues, see a small space and say "no pilot?" Or as you suggest quite rightly, mould sprues of pilots navigators etc and either sell them separately, or get them put in kits in the right numbers on a separate sprue

Already got the 80 sqn markings to use on the original Tempest kit, the 26 sqn all silver scheme is rather dull imho. Have better options for all my Tempests on an aftermarket sheet. I failed miserably with the leading edge decals on the Typhoon kit and won't be bothering with them. Have you seen the KP tempests by any chance?

@@MOS6510Models I've not built any yet. They look okay in the box. My immediate concern is the fit of the fuselage halves may be compromised by the need to allow for the different nose sections of the MkII, MkV and MkVI. The latter differs from the MkV due to the wing root intakes IIRC But if you are a Tempest fan, they should provide a good alternative for the MkII and VI to go with the Airfix Tempest. Sorry I can't give a proper mini review. I was wondering what your thoughts were if you had built one.
