I like how the drummer was talking smack about his bass player buddy for saying, "I self taught myself". Then he explains the grammatical mistake to the guitarist, while the bass player is answering a question and the two are chuckling about it behind his back. That whole thing cracked me up. Just a couple of typical middle school buds, busting each other's chops. Funny.

Veronica Cline I agree. Although technically, he wasn't 100% correct. The bass player did not use a double negative, but the drummer was on the right track. It was actually a redundancy. There are hundreds of commonly used redundancies in the English language. Some redundancies stand out as being wrong, more than the others do. But, many redundancies are so commonly used, that we barely notice them anymore. Examples: (armed) gunman, ATM (machine), Bald (headed), (brief) moment, (close) proximity, (closed) fist, (completely) annihilated, destroyed, eliminated, engulfed, filled, (exact) same, (end) result, (final) conclusion, outcome, (fall) down, (free) gift, had done (previously). I could continue (to go on), but you get the point. There are so many of them, that it's kind of fun to read them. I doubt that I will stop using some of them. Old habits die hard.

I think I got confused because the drummer always wears prescription glasses when he performs and I'have seen a video wear the bass player wears sunglasses and another video where the bass player goes without any glasses. Now, I realize that they both wear glasses, at least sometimes AND they look nothing alike. So, yeah, I'm an idiot.
