Judging from the CPU being able to boost at the start of a race; I think there must be a boost start mechanic in this game like Mario Kart, try looking into it the next time you come back.

I did think that but when I tried I couldn’t find anything, and it’s only first place who ever get the boost and it only ever happens on the long tracks so I am pretty sure it’s just a thing intended to make it more difficult
