I still do not understand the verse : lead us not into temptation. Why should God lead us into temptation? Instead, I keep praying : please keep us away from temptation. But now , after listening to this video, i heard pastor teach that sometimes, God's wrath give us up to temptation because we are too stubborn sinning. Just like God hardened the heart of the Pharaoh, king of Egypt when this king was so stubborn and did not let the Hebrews go. The bible did say that at first God tried to make the king obey Moses. But his heart was so hardened that eventually, GOD had to even harden the king's heart more so that God can show His glory, not because God is prideful, but because He wants to show to human beings that He is God, the only One who can bless us and guide us, protect us. So, friends, if we are stubborn and keep sinning, God will let go of us , thus the devil will have the chance to devour us. Same story with king Saul. In the end of Saul life, God 's favor depart from him because he sinned. This verse teaches us to always abide in God, obey Him and stay under His protection. Ahah! Now i understand this verse. Thank you pastor. After listening to and studying with so many pastors, my heart and my soul can only find joy, peace, satisfaction, happiness with the teachings of pastor Colin. When our heart is happy, satisfied, has no confusion, this shows that we are on the right path. Pastor Colin teaches us to cultivate virtues with the help of the Holy Spirit who resides within us. I like virtues, i like the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments are the love letter that God gave to us so that we can live a safe and peaceful life on earth after receiving His Grace first. Receive God first, then obey the Law with joy. The Law is not the mean master. The Law is God's servant sent to us to be our friend to teach us kindly how to live our life on earth. Galatians 5:13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Friends, the Law , the Ten Commandments is the Law of love, the Royal Law. Thank you pastor .
