I cannot worship the God in the bible because He killed a lot of innocent people and animals. Whoever did not obey Him, He killed, like the wife of Lot, the sons of Aaron, the first born Egyptians and animals just because the Pharaoh refused to let the Hebrews go. Some pastors said that God is the God of justice. But i think that He killed a lot. 2) He knows from the beginning to the end. Why did He created humans knowing that they will sin? He knew it because he already had a plan at the beginning of the creation to have Jesus die for our sins. Would the pastor or somebody explain to me. Thank you.

Hi friend, great question! And one that many wrestle with. A foundational truth to know is that God is not a man. He’s the Creator and owner of everything. And every human has sinned against Him and deserves His wrath; that’s a basic truth of the gospel, so there are no “innocent people” as you mention. Everyone is a sinner who deserves God’s justice. Let’s look at the story from Exodus. Yes, God does kill Egyptian firstborns. But consider that God warned Egypt long before that happened in Exodus 4:22-23. He said that if the Pharaoh didn’t let Israel (God’s firstborn son) go, He will kill their firstborn. He didn’t have to do that, it is an act of grace. That’s not a bloodthirsty God who randomly destroys people, it’s a God of justice who is holding guilty sinners accountable. God also provided a way for Egypt to be saved; to paint the blood of a lamb on their doorposts. But Egypt refused God’s provision and faced the consequences of their actions. God’s justice is a good thing for the world. If God doesn’t provide justice for the world, then justice is not possible. In an article on UnlockingtheBible.org called “5 Ways Exodus Confronts Our Secular Age”, we shared the following: “The righteous judgment of God isn’t the most popular of topics in our supposedly tolerant secular world. Even so, our culture cries out for justice that can be found only in a sovereign God who sets the standards and executes judgment on the guilty. Without a sovereign God of justice, we have no hope that ultimate justice will come against this world’s oppressors, abusers, traffickers, and murderers. A God of perfect justice will judge every evil deed, and he alone can help us endure this unjust world.” What is most important for us is that we have faith in the true Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, Jesus Christ. God’s judgment fell on Him at the cross, and He takes the punishment we deserve, meaning we can be forgiven. The offer of salvation is for everybody.

@@OpentheBibleorg thank you. But God even hardened the heart of the Pharaoh so that the king refused to let the Hebrews leave Egypt! He did not have to harden the king's heart ( even if his heart was already hardened before) in order to kill all the first born Egyptians. Thank you.
