Zambia has over 17 beautiful waterfalls one of which is the Kalambo waterfalls in northern Zambia near Lake Tanganyika. Kalambo falls is over 236m high, second in height from Tugela falls in South Africa. Zambia is endowed with many rivers and lakes. In fact, the source of the Congo river is in Luapula province of Zambia. The name Zambia is derived from the mighty Zambezi River. Nzambi means God and Zambia means God country.

There is more of you than Zimbabweans and despite that our gdp is still better than yours despite 22 years of sanctions 😂. I went to zambia with my boss and we work for a SA company and we were trying set up a Zambian base. He is neutral and was shocked how small Lusaka is. We then drove rheough Harare and went see my parents in Glen Lorne and he said save for roads Zim is far ahead of Zambia In 1990s i went to Livingstone and its not even comparable to most small hamlets in Zim like Shurigwi yet for you guys it's almost a city 😂

Actually Victoria falls is more Zambian than it is Zimbabwean. This information is crucial when one decides to see and experience the falls. Mosi oa thunya is pronounce exactly the same as in three South African languages, that is Sesotho, Sepedi and Setswana. There must be a lot of history I have to learn from there. Thank for the video and information.

Secondly, the Makololo people part of the Sotho people migrated upwards to Zambia and settled among the Lozi people in Western Zambia and the rest was history. The Makololo/Lozi call is Mosi oa thunya the local Tonga people call it Shungu Mtitima.

But when I saw the falls for the first time in 2001, I couldn’t believe that the falls were created from the same river that I used to swim in. Even David Livingstone said that the angels of God must have rejoiced when they saw the falls for the first time.

You made cry too girl. Is a pity Africans we do not cherish all this beautiful gifts God have given us. We have no clue how to leave from our natural resources because of lack of knowledge, planning and negligence. We are beggars begging the western. We have all.

We love the proximity to the falls in Zambia and we are able to follow the mighty Zambezi before it drops as Vic falls. And we love that we can view it from the top once the water levels go down in the dry months. I know it’s a different experience all together in Zimbabwe which is also breathtaking.

Yes, she keeps saying that because when you do infact google it the rest of the world says Zim side is larger, better views, bigger views even. Even if it was larger like she says tourists that have been to both objectively say you see MORE from the Zim side. So the billion kilomteres Zambia has over Zim means absolutely nothing. I googled a trillion travel sites to get a more objective viewpoint and the consensus is Zim has bigger and better views. Zam has the devils pool which is really cool, the Knife's Edge and more too. But a majority tourists pick Zim as the bigger view. I trust their opinion because it's more objective. A Zimbabwean will say Zim is better, a Zambian will say Zam is better. They cancel each other out.

Its Original name is Mosi oa Tunya. Meaning the smoke that thunders. Victoria Falls was the name David Livingstone who claimed to have discovered them and named them after queen victoria... funny thing is there where locals there and he claims to be the first person to ever see them. As black people globally we need to write our own narratives
@richieredw9218

@@bossmalo947 I agree totally, how can a mzungu come all the way from overseas to claim he "discovered" a place that has been there for centuries ? It's clear that they always wanted to exclude Africans from taking their rightful place in history on their own Continent, a name change is long overdue.
