I was able to crush my judicial committee after 30 days of my reinstatement with their own Flock book. Not one of them had anything to say they just block my phone number. It has been quite the journey. I’m very happy with my decision and I finally feel like I’m in control of my life. I’ve been a single father since my daughter was five years old, she is 14 now. I will not be raising her inside of this destructive cult, I have deep scars that have been left by watchtower. Every day is beautiful, new, and mine. Keep up the great work

I’ve suffered with really bad depression since 1999 from the mental abuse I went through from my whole family and the pressure of the cult. I was raised in a angry family with parents that always fought, yet were so zealous for the so called truth. All while my Dad was the presiding overseer for our congregation. Devils at home and righteous at the hall. Seems this is a never ending story for a lot of ex JW’s. Wasted 54 good years of my life in fear and believing this garbage. Its true what Lady C brought out in the video that JWs stop seeing the "human" in people. People just become statistics to be recorded in the yearly reports, eg.memorial attendees. They aren't even important enough to be included in the individual jw monthly report...but numbers of "hours" are! Like Jake said, the jws become warped in their understanding of whats right and wrong. The jws basically teach people progressively how NOT to be Christ-like.

Perhaps a few great questions to ask a witness next time they approach are “Since you have been a witness how many people are you/have you personally, actively shunned and specifically how has it/is it affecting the people you’re/you’ve shunned emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally? What, you don’t specifically know how it is/has affecting them nor do you specifically know the allegations against them or if those allegations were substantiated? If I join the JW‘s and later leave the religion will you shun me too? If the JW leadership reverses their shunning policy as they have done previously, how will you ever be able to apologize to those that you shunned based on an erroneous Bible interpretation by men who expressly state that they are fallible and uninspired?”

So the recent book is just reflecting their long standing tactics. Great interview.

JT & Lady Cee - please don’t stop using the term “the Society“. It brings me back to my youth in the organization. There is a reason they don’t want us to use that term anymore - it reminds us that it was a corporation and a publishing company before it was a religion. In Rutherford‘s day, they told everyone they MUST use the term ”Society”, and said it was even a type in the Bible (represented by Elihu in the book of Job). Now they’re telling us the opposite - that we cannot use the term at all. It sounds culty, and that’s why they don’t like it anymore. But that’s what I grew up with. I love that you don’t let them get away with changing the terminology. Your use of the old terms attracted me to your channel. I knew you were legit!

I'm 38 and I had to go to JW church until I was 16 because my mum has been JH for as long as I remember. I hated it and when my mum decided I was old enough to make my own decisions and allowed me to decide to no longer follow the religion I was extremely happy and I never went to church again. The JW religion is horrible. Honestly they aren't really that much different to Scientology where they are more of a cult than a religion. I don't follow any religion and honestly hate religion but I still have a heavy moral code. But I am a firm believer that people are allowed to follow whatever religion they want and while I am against religion I am not against religious people. In fact I have a friend who is heavily religious and I STRONGLY disagree with a lot of what he believes in and he knows my stance on religion and we have had a few arguments but we still get along and he's one of the few people on fb that I interact with on any kind of regular basis.

I said yes because I was in love. All I asked in return was support throughout the process, at first she was all the way from September 2022 to January of this year and then nothing. Hasn’t reached out in the last 5 months, keep in mind I was still going to the meetings and commenting and going door to door. It wasn’t until I got fed up with her not reaching out that I decided to meet someone else, it opened my eyes, this week I stopped going to the meetings. Texted the guy I was studying with to inform him I’m no longer going and now multiple people are reaching out. I’m glad I met this new person because it opened my eyes. Great video as always and analysis! In the JW all roads lead to your fault, the truest thing ever said in a video.

I was talking to a ex pioneer of some forty years, before the end of the all , I wished I’d asked her how it was to go back each time doctrines changed, and call o them to explain to them each time? Wish I had as she was shunning me due to questions I had, she couldn’t get rid of me fast enough

Thanks JT, LadyC and Jake. You mentioned how they developed a whole doctrine)teaching around a parable in the form of a question, ie. 'faithful slave'. Just a thought. Recently G Jackson gave 'new light' on John 5:28,29. Part of their reasoning was that if we look carefully, Jesus was talking in the past tense....blah blah So when will they get the same 'new light' on the faithful slave I wonder. After all, it says: "Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master APPOINTED over his domestics..."(Matt 24:45) "Appointed" is in the past tense Watchtower. How will you get around that one with 'new light'. Maybe at the next AGM🤣😂🤣

AND it is a parable. Not a prophecy.

Good point Jenni about the past tense regarding appointment of the FDS! What inconsistency...but that's so typical of WT theology. I wonder if any jws were disciplined or even df'd in the past for insisting that Jesus' words regarding the resurrection were in the past tense. Even though it plainly says so in the verse and always has.

So glad you and your wife can make it work, and work well, Jake! I can't get over the elders and COs not pressuring her to leave him/you due to 'spiritual endangerment'. I hope that does not happen. Sort of give me hope, but then again I'm a woman and WT is extremely sexist, and it's all a roll of the dice/elders no matter your sex.

Left in 2009 and seeing the governing body was so weird to me! They are so unimpressive and have no specific public speaking skills. I don't know what qualifies them to be there. Stephen Lett is the most ridiculous. I was at visiting my parents and they asked me to display the broadcasting on the TV. It was LETT. So I started laughing hysterically, my parents were no amused they don't even see that the way Lett is addressing them is CONDESCENDING !🤡

I find Anthony Morris the most objectionable. No warmth or charisma whatsoever. Just a scowling, scolding, mumbling, bitter old man. He can't string a coherent sentence together and he resorts to lazy word contractions and slurring. I'm sure he would deserve a "W" for every point of counsel in the now defunct Theocratic Ministry School.

Watchtower might not apologize because there is legal consequences (like people who died from the no-organ transplant rule) and because ex-members will hamper on any apology it makes. Watchtower is a business and businesses throw away religion when it's money and name are on the line.

I left over 25 years ago and still enjoy the shun. JWs hang onto the mean. I remember a JW aunt who ran off with my other JW aunt's husband. 30 years later this JW aunt was still begging for forgiveness from the now betrayed XJW aunt. Interesting that this JW wanted forgiveness but definitely held the shunning line by shunning her disfellowshipped nephews. Watchtower forces people into double standards and hypocrisy. Speaking of mean the shunning policy has given some of my JW family members I never liked and who never liked me, due to sibling rivalry, the impetus to be meaner. Has Watchtower destroyed families? Yes! I wonder sometimes whether these mean dubs read our apostate stuff bcoz I just left enough clues for them to recognise themselves😂

I thoroughly enjoyed this interview of Jake, our young "promising activist". He has such a nice easy relaxed way of expressing himself...and he's naturally funny...most of the time. He's very engaged with his viewers as well which makes him very popular! Oh...and he's a smarty pants. Xx
