Interesting video! We have to do better for our disabled in long term care. My mother passed away on Nov 10, 2019 so a few short months before the lockdown to protect residents, staff and family caregivers was implemented. She was probably legally blind (severe macular degeneration) and totally deaf in one ear and very hard of hearing in the other ear. She also had trouble swallowing so she drank mostly thickened drinks with a straw for the last 2 years of her life. She couldn't speak for the last 2 years of her life either. She couldn't walk. She had partial use of one hand and no use of the other hand or arm. Skype or phone visits or window visits would been ridiculous for her since she was physically in such rough shape. I really am glad she died before she was hit with this lockdown. She lived through the Great Depression on the Prairies, the 2nd World War on the West Coast and in Europe, she didn't need to live through this tragedy.

Omg my heartfelt condolences to you and what a strong person she was , tears rolled while i read your story may her soul sleep in perfect peace. You are absolutely right we do need to do better . How and where do we start. We need a government that cares on all sides of the coin but thats a discussion for another time . Thanks for watching.
