I interviewed Charley Boy for a news features for The Source when he joined Onyeka Onwenu to fight NTA over copyrights issue. I was a young reporter then, I think about 20, and he was very gentle with me seeing that I was a greenhorn. He kept asking me if I had properly written down what he had said because I had no recorder. The report I wrote earned me my first Nigeria Media Merit Award nomination.

Powerful point to take home among others is Charly Boy said he is grateful for all the training his father gave him because it still shaped him. Gen Z take note of that deep and powerful lesson.
