Yes one with the land is actually insanely good. And master of the hunt can definitely open up some crazy combo opportunities, especially when you have bonus attacks and surprise volley available for additional attacks.

I was just wondering if you had any tips/key advice for someone who's trying to master the Muldoon/Ingen deck, and what other decks you would recommend for a Muldoon/Ingen style player in a conquest format. Stay safe!

Thanks for watching! And you can follow me on Twitch to get notifications when I go live for streaming the gameplay. As for Muldoon tips, I'm by no means an expert on him. I don't play him myself. But in general I would say there are 2 main things you need to be careful with: your defenses and your traps. Muldoon only has 5 4-value defenses and 3 feints. That's it (cuz regroup hardly counts). So you need to be very careful with the positioning of yourself, workers, and traps to minimize the amount of times you can possibly get attacked. And then your trap management is very crucial because you only want to place them when you really need them. If you put out too many early on, and the opponent avoids them, you may be in trouble later when fatigue start to get close since they will then start popping multiple in the same turn to make you potentially overdraw above the hand limit and also push you into fatigue to kill off any remaining workers. Try to use them at choke points on the map so that you block off a path they would otherwise have been able to take to attack you. As for other deck recommendations, are you wanting similar style decks? Or decks that you think would make a strong conquest line-up alongside Muldoon? If you're saying similar fighters, i think Robin hood is close because he's also ranged with many token sidekicks and has to use careful positioning to decrease the amount of times he actually gets attacked. Since although he has a high QUANTITY of defenses, he doesn't have high QUALITY due to 3 being the highest value. If you're moreso looking for other fighters that would make a strong line-up, then I would say Little Red. The reason being that most people tend to pick Sherlock and Medusa as the first 2 picks. Then if you go Muldoon, the opponent has a tough choice to make whether they want to take Bigfoot into a difficult matchup (being Muldoon), or pass on him. If they pass then you get Sherlock/Medusa, Muldoon, AND Bigfoot. A VERY strong line-up. And if they take him, then Little Red also has quite a good mathup into Bigfoot. So you're able to essentially target and counterpick Bigfoot pretty reliably unless they let you have him for yourself. Both good outcomes as long as you're comfortable with Muldoon, Bigfoot, AND Little Red. Hopefully that helps answer your questions! If not I'd be happy to discuss it more 😁

Man I know its about a whole year between Red/Beo and BoL2. Next year should be packed with releases though. I heard that JP2 got the green light as well as the first two Marvel boxes. So we are going to get a lot by Spring of 2022.

Bloody Mary seems kind of strong tbh. Lots of guaranteed damage, tons of defensive options, and then high damage in a single turn potential. She really puts your opponent in a damned if you, damned if you dont situation it looks like. All that punishment for using defense cards when she attacks looks like a lot of fun tbh.

Yeah she is very fun to play for sure. Hard to tell how good she actually is though. I do think she will get better and better as people learn to optimize her which means she has room to grow which is nice.

@@zeroskatr12 what makes you think she’s weak? Is it because she requires setup? Or because her power is situational? I think all her good defensive option are freaking amazing because it deters your opponent from attacking you, on top of the threat of giving you extra action if you have four cards. If they attack you they may get punished for it or have their card outright nullified, and you can threaten them with starting the next turn with 3 actions if you manage your hand right. I’d love to play around with her mechanics for sure. I sure hope she isn’t bad. She’s probably my most anticipated character so far. Can’t wait to see! 😁

@@stevenobrien7686 Yeah it's because she is situational. If the opponent plays around your ability it's hard to get those big swing turns that you probably need. And being a solo fighter always makes things a little tougher, especially against decks with 1hp sidekicks. Though the 3 Move helps with that. But she definitely does have a lot of strong cards and she can be optimized a lot. So I don't think she's weak necessarily, just harder to play and maybe worse than the others. Tons of fun regardless and only time will tell how strong she actually is!

@@zeroskatr12 I think a mechanic they could’ve used to mitigate that is give her the ability on some of her defense cards to boost them. Would’ve really set her apart gameplay wise, and is thematic with her being tricky, and hard to get a read on with optical illusions and such. Might’ve been a little imbalanced, but maybe give her only 3 defense cards with this ability. Just a thought.

@@stevenobrien7686 Yeah you know I thought that myself also when I first played her. Because then there would be more "surprise" ways to start your turn with 3 cards in hand. Would have been really neat, but oh well. The deck is still cool and works pretty well.

I will do an updated tier list at some point, but likely after more than just a few plays. I might end up waiting until after the next tournament so I have a more realistic idea. Unless of course people really want to see a list ahead of time for preparation for a tournament.

To be fair the lighting may not be ideal in the video to show off the rings well. It's visible in person, although still much more difficult than with the circles. It is a bit of a shame to only get one map with every new set, but I understand their reasoning that after a while, maps may start feeling the same and the quality degrades. So I would rather have less maps with higher quality.

I prefer the rings because they show off the lovely artwork and keep the game information as unobtrusive as possible. It is important to also provide a version with the circles, however, as the rings would be a nightmare to parse for someone with colour-blindness.

Hi, just found your channel. How do u get competitive into this game? After 100s plays, you can kind of know each characters deck but for a newcomer, how do you begin? 2nd - How do you mitigate the luck when doing combat? Sometimes i feel like im blindly attacking or defending which creates this super randomness in battle. thanks! kool channel!

Hey I'm glad you found it! Thanks for watching. For getting into competitive play, learning the fighters' decks is the first step. This also leads into your other question about randomness in battle. There is some randomness, but being a good player is about reading the gamestate and determining which combat cards would be good at the moment and playing around those. Because if you're right, then you're likely rewarded by playing the proper card. And if you're wrong, it shouldn't matter quite as much because then your opponent made a suboptimal play. So the best thing you can do as a newcomer is just to play! You'll pick up on which fighters you personally enjoy. Focus on improving with them first. And learning the other decks will come faster than you expect once you really get into the game. Plus there are deck trackers to use if you are in a competitive game and don't quite remember every card in the deck. Hope this helps a little, but I'd be happy to discuss more if you have questions. Hate the rings. Prefer the solid colour zones. Clearer to play, no confusion. Real shame they are not doing double sided boards. Yes they always trigger between the same fighters regardless of whether or not they remain in range for the bonus attack. I know I explain them in my Sun Wukong video.

@@zeroskatr12 Alright, that's about what I thought. I would frankly prefer if the opposing fighter had to stay in range, as they're pretty strong as is and it would also give some interesting counterplay options with skirmish and the like.

@@dirtcarver9990 yeah that would be interesting actually. I think I like that idea as well. Because right now the only counterplay is to feint. But you don't always have those. Movememt effects are almost more common than cancels. Oh well it is what it is, I still like the concept regardless!

They couldn't do Sun Wukong all the cards any, strong cards had to be Personal. King Arthur has one card 6 and the ability to play it 2 times. And Sun Wukong can play a card with a value of 7 5 times!! Madness, what the creators were thinking, I don't understand.

Yeah you do get to boost your defense against the 7, but that still costs you 2 cards then on defense. So it is very strong and many people are worried about him being too powerful. Definitely a step up from BoL1, but we will have to see if there are other weaknesses that we don't notice at first. Time and testing will tell.
