I got a pack of different flavors from Amazon and I disliked every single one of them… I feel like taste wise there are better vegan protein bars out there.

I love the PB&J, Speculoos and the new S'mores flavours! They're actually much better warmed up in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. The cookies and cream is good too. Some flavours are hit and miss but for the calorie to protein ratio, it's my go-to!

I wish there were more low-sugar protein bars that didn't use artificial sweeteners. I don't have much of a sweet tooth and it's so aggravating to flip over every "low sugar" bar in the store and see its full of stevia/allulose/xylitol/etc.

Ikr. Can't they just use less sugar? I avoid any of those artifical sweetners because they have a strong laxitive affect on me. Its just about impossible to find any 'low sugar' options that don't have them. And don't get me started on protien powders/shake mixes.

You should try Trader Joe's vegan brioche bread and boba tea kit. Hadn't had boba or French toast in years wasn't even sure if I'd like it but they were pretty good!

In case you didn't know, most boba places offer vegan options with nut milks! It's rare that I'm unable to get one. I get boba a lot.

@@naikopako1840 just be careful because a lot of the places will say they use “non-dairy creamer” for their milk teas, but it still has casein in it :-( not all Places but a lot of them use powder blends for some of the milk teas

My favourite was the raspberry and dark chocolate. I like the bitterness of the dark chocolate and the raspberry tang. I really like that they're not that sweet, since I really don't have a sweet tooth. Man, I wish they did a savory protein bar...like a salt and vinegar one. That would probably be UV's nightmare 😅

They have a new formula that's amazing!! I used to hate Misfits but I saw they had a new formula and decided to give it another try. I had the caramel chocolate fudge one and loved it :)) It reminded me a lot of the non-vegan barebells ones

I really like the Misfits (birthday cake is my fave…not a huge fan of the chocolate flavors for some reason idk). One because I find the flavor/sugar taste not nearly as over powering as the Barebells and two the sweetener doesn’t upset my stomach. On occasion I would buy the Barebells at TJ’s, but the sugar alcohol gives me the WORST stomach pain and gas. So if you’re sensitive to the Barebells, I would definitely go with these instead.

I loved these! The banoffee and PB&J are probably my favorites, then smores at a close 3rd. I wasn't a fan of any of the white chocolate variants. I was wanting to replace my builder bars with these as the sugar content is much lower but the macros aren't as good. Sorry you didn't seem like a fan of these! :((

One thing I have been wondering about is why people don't cook with soybean meal, it is pretty much the cheapest source of protein I can find and I doubt it tastes particularly different from soybeans so it could probably be a good food once some recipes are developed. I might try buying a bag and experimenting with it to see if I can come up with some good recipes.

I wish there were more bars that are equal to non vegan protein bars. I found from searching on average the standard non vegan protein bars are 200 calories (ish) and 20g or more of protein. Where as vegan bars are typically 15g of protein. Also they’re expensive. I’m not too picky with taste buds I think since I don’t mind ads quite like the plant based phd bars that a lot of people say are “chalk” but they’re 20 g of protein for about 270 kcals. It’s not a major difference tbh but just something I’d noticed.

I'm honestly so surprised- i thought you would LOVE these. Personally, I like them more than the nugo slims. But ofc we all have diff tastes :) My fav is definitely the banoffe and white choc salted peanut. Also I feel like you would like the lemon cheesecake even though it has white choc

The hardest part about vegan protein bars is that I hate chocolate and they almost always have it and it's so disgusting. I wish I could find tasty chocolate free ones.

I'd still try them, but I already love the Nugo Slim, which have better macros than these, and way better macros than the Barebells, so probably won't knock Nugo off the top of the protein bar podium. I just wish Nugo made all flavors vegan.

My favorite protein bars are the Raw Rev Glo Bars. They have a little less protein than the Barbells I think but I prefer the texture and I find them less sweet. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and the the Double Chocolate Brownie Batter are the best in my opinion.

My favorite is from a drugstore here in Germany, it tastes like the bareballs peanut one and it was a limited edition but its back and only 90cents(189cals and 12gram protein). I will maybe try the misfits bares but yeah with code hahah and I need to look if they ship to Germany cause I’m curious and yeah

Have you tried the new white chocolate dipped No Cow bars? I tried the Frosted Gingerbread Cookie one recently, and it is soooo good. Way better than the old bars. (I hear the Key Lime white chocolate dipped is great too.) And, like you said, I like that they're just tasty enough to genuinely enjoy, without feeling any compulsion to eat a bunch in one sitting.

@@thatwasweird954 ooo. I'm a white chocolate fan so I'll definitely try. I have found a few actually unlikable and others much more ok. My goal is definitely protein and not so much snacking, but it's nice when I don't think they're gross. I'm less picky than suazee (I do not know how to spell her name. I should go find it written somewhere), but the no cow CAN be exceptionally dry.

You should try Vive bars! They’re à UK brand I think, not sure if they deliver to the US. But delicious! About 10g protein for 200 kcal per bar

I like the flavour of misfits, way better than the barebells to me. But they make the same mistake as most bars I think, which is to rave about minimising carbs while being really high in fat. Protein/100kcal is way more important than protein/100g in my opinion. I have only ever found one low fat protein bar made my a supermarket in the UK, but I haven't seen it in ages.

I can't have Stevia. My fav is Nugo. I tried Barebells and I did get an aftertaste so that stinks for me ☹️ they are a good texture. Thank you for trying things and sharing your opinion!

Have you tried the clif builders bars? Kinda high in sugar but 20g of protein and under 300 calories. The chocolate mint and chocolate pb ones are so good! Stronger peanuty taste than the barebells pb one.

I've only had the chocolate pb builders bars and it's addictive. I wish they had less sugar, but everything else makes it worth it. I try to save those for days I'm doing more cardio or at least on my feet more so I can pretend my body needs all those carbs from the sugar 😅
