I suspect that even with the crossbar at the bottom the table the side pannels still wobble laterally. You need to add something to increase the stiffness of the table against the lateral movement of the table top. You should connect the lateral panels with a rear panel (in the oposite side of the table where you would place the chair) or with diagonal crossbar. The problem is that this new elements probably interfere with the rotation of the top.

This is an interesting concept but you could've giving the standing desk bed more support by putting desk drawers were your dowel rod is at. By doing this it would give the desk more storage and by putting the desk drawers down on the floor to the top of where the dowel rod is the desk would still have room to rotate. The drawers would be perfect to put in pencils, pens, or whatever unnecessary things you can fit in it.

You should add a net underneath that catches everything not secured to the table when you flip it. When you flip it back over, simply take your stuff out of the net and put it back on the desk
@RandomakerYT2 жыл бұрын
For something like this, you need WAAAY more support at the bottom. The table at the top is giving you very little support, so it needs to be strong enough to not wobble without the top on.

Lacks wood working skill, but makes up for it with pre-cut wood and 3D printed parts. I like it. You definitely won't be winning awards with your woodworking, but you don't have to take everything serious. I feel like that is the whole point of this channel, to have fun and not take things serious. I do worry about durability since that is meant to be slept on, and you gave it a low score in that category. Stay safe, have fun.
@UnnecessaryInventions4 жыл бұрын
I think that's the lesson I wanted to show. You don't have to be an expert at everything - use what you know to get the overall concept across. I like to think of this channel more to inspire people to try new things/concepts vs. it being a tutorial channel on how to do one thing in particular.
@fmaz19524 жыл бұрын
Matthias Wandel is laughing as your 3D printed parts. Edit: Also a 10/10 design wouldn't need to unscrew and screw 4 different locking points to operate. It would have a single quick release system so you can hide the bed real quicl when you hear the boss walking in.
