I’m not sure…This song gives many Russians and other post Soviet citizens PTSD. It reminds Russians of Yeltsin, Gorbachev Resigning, failed Red Army Coup, empty stores, Chechnya, Rubles becoming useless, and for other citizens who weren’t Russians who saw their republic breaking away.

Since the formation of the USSR, the Russian SFSR has been the only soviet republic that did not have its own official anthem. The anthem of the RSFSR appeared only in the 90s, and soon the USSR collapsed 🙂
