Enjoyed this much more than a packing video. How often things were actually used was really interesting.

I loved your Scandinavia vacation videos, I’m sad they’re coming to an end. If you have the time would you be able to do a full video about your itinerary for the trip/ how to get around Scandinavia using buses trains and public transit? I’ve wanted to go for years but I’m from the US and don’t know much about the public transit there, and most KZbinrs I see that go take many planes and rental cars. I’m glad you’ve been showing your trip using more eco conscious travel.

Just wrote a list of things to pack for my UK trip in 3 weeks from 🇦🇺. Am sooo impressed with your frugal packing. You are an inspiration. 👏

This was an interesting and helpful video! I have a two week trip coming up next month and I’m really trying to downsize to 4 days of laundry but may have to do 5 days.

Hi! It's also possible to impregnate a coat! I know someone who did it to their kids rain jackets and it worked really well. They used a wash-in waterproofer from Nikwax. I'm planning on trying that on my rain jacket because it too is starting to leak, but there is absolutely nothing else wrong with it. Don't really want to buy a new one yet and the wash-in waterproofer isn't very expensive so hopefully worth a try.

That is a great reminder! I will look into it! We only have a spray that is meant for shoes as far as I know but I would absolutely buy a wash-in waterproofer before buying a new jacket 😊 thank you for the tip!

Great video, and I'm impressed how little you needed. I did bring a similar amount (less tech though) on our 1 week trip... btw. my fav "your trip item" is..... the stick you brought back ☺ !

Great video again and very useful for someone who is always trying to rationalize and pack as efficiently as possible! I love this "What's the worst that can happen?" thought, and I will use it when I pack next time! Just a question: what do you sleep in? If it's warm/hot, I know one can sleep naked, but when it is cold and damp in a cabin... Were you not cold at night? When you get up in the morning, you immediately dressed in your going out clothes? Isn't it nice to put on some more relaxing clothes when you are at home in a cabin after a long, wet day? Thanks for the answer!

I am with you on the wires, i hattttee all the wires i need to pack for different devices and my camera/laptop. Id love to find a solution for this. I think that even tho you didn't use the shorts it wouldn't have been nice if you did need them and had left them behind. BTW your backpack still looks so good considering all the use it gets
@ecofriendlia2 жыл бұрын
Yes!! I try to have devices that use the same wires but it doesn't always work... And you are right, maybe I would pack the shorts again because they are light and it could happen that I actually want to wear them on a similar trip 😊

@ecofriendlia2 жыл бұрын

Do you have a suggestion for an eco friendly swimsuit? I really want to find one that is not made of polyester 🌱🌎
@ecofriendlia2 жыл бұрын
I think the best options there are the following: - swim in underwear (in Germany that is not allowed in public pools) - buy a crocheted bikini (that is the only kind that might be generally accepted as swimwear that is maybe also available in natural fibers) - buy an econyl bikini (recycled fishing nets, a certified fabric but still plastic... )

Hi Lia, sehr interessantes Video. LG Andrea
@ecofriendlia2 жыл бұрын

Andrea

Why did you choose Norway, not cheaper and sunnier Greece, Portugal, Spain or Italy? I'm really surprised by the weather you had in Norway, I know it's colder than the continental Europe, but I didn't know that the difference is so significant.
@corewisdom2 жыл бұрын
Just FYI, only sharing with respect since you are an eco-conscious person... Washing out sunscreen in a mountain river is not the best idea for maintaining the ecology of the watershed. Sunscreen is harmful for fish and other life in the water, and I am often bothered by the slick of sunscreen that washes off of people's skin on the surface of natural bodies of water in public swim spots. That slick gets on my skin as I enter the water and my skin reacts to it. I wonder how it affects the flora and fauna in the water. Just some thoughts to ponder and research into deeper if desired! Bless!

You are right! It was a mineral sun screen so I guess better than a chemical one but I am sure it is still not great...

Pro tip: You can change the camera position to the stuff which you are showing directly focusing on the object rather than picking everything in hand.

Could’ve traveled to south east Asia AND got married for that type of money. Scandinavia is a con- unless you realise the weather is brutal all year long
