I've been saying this. It was predictable though. There are definitely red flags out, with the defense at least, since halftime of the Georgia game. But I mean come on, 5-1, one bad loss and people are already calling for firings. I'd say give them a chance to improve. Also, while losing to Vandy is embarrassing, this is NOT the Vandy of the past. They are pretty solid. They beat VA Tech and nearly beat Missouri. They are not a playoff team, but they aren't a pushover either. This is not the end of the world.

Still, there really isn’t an excuse for Alabama to lose that game. If Alabama can lose to Vandy, they can lose to anybody.

My entire point was just that this game isn't the end, and that we should be giving the defense (read Womack) a chance to improve. I'm not even saying he will. Just that one game doesn't mean we should be cleaning house. Let's see how they do this weekend vs SC.

I love how all of the talking heads of the sports media were praising Coach DeBoer after the Georgia win and then immediately crapped all over him this past week. The ones getting mad at him created the narrative that he is the next Coach Saban. He never chose that or claimed it. But since the sports media want to make that comparison. Let’s be honest, losing to a much better Vandy team in year one is NOWHERE near as bad as a loss to La Monroe. Coach DeBoer is very much still our coach. Yes, there are a crap ton of issues to resolve. But it is far easier to resolve them after an embarrassing loss than it is to fix them after an emotional victory. Love the show man, keep it up!

People may not know Deboer and Vanderbilt coach coach together at San Diego State so he knew Deboer he was familiar with everything that he do

While that’s true that they coached together, Deboer’s blue print is mainly on the offense. He may know Deboer’s offense but Bama’s offense had zero problems with Vandy’s defense other than those 2 fluke plays (Pick 6 and fumble) Deboer let’s Wommack and Linguist handle the defense so Vandy’s coach isn’t necessarily familiar with it. So your comment doesn’t really apply to how this game went. Familiarity couldn’t have helped him since it’s not Deboer’s defense.

Born Bama fan. Daddy introduced me to Tide Football watching Bear and Joe Namath. I love watching Jalen play. I used to love watching Dan Fouts play. I don't like watching teams with great offenses lose because of poor defense. I don't want to see Bama become the Chargers of the late 70s, early 80's. Womack hasn't impressed. Listening to his press conferences reminds me of a salesman trying to sell me a 1500 dollar vacuum cleaner in the 80's. Gives me great concerns to see the entire defensive front moved 3 yards back on their heels on a 3rd and 2. That's not Alabama football.

First year coach, inexperienced young secondary in new system, first time this coaching staff has worked together, 5/1, so not too bad. Will we get beat again, possibly but if the Offense can keep going until Defense finds itself we should be fine. I liked the T shirt.

There’s not a maybe, Nick Saban would have called a timeout and would have chewed his soul out for waving off his defensive Coordinator and waving him off. #2- I agree there isn’t a culture problem, however, no eye discipline, a defensive player punches a Vandy player in the face. They may not have a culture problem, but they do have a discipline and scheme problem.

The only thing I really say about this, its no longer Saban's team. This new team, coach and players, have to now prove themselves EVERY week. This team can go undefeated or .500, I don't know. Its no longer a Saban team, so you really don't know. Yes, a Saban team you are fine. But face reality, this isn't a Saban team anymore. Whatever might have been in the past is no longer there until they prove themselves once more.

As someone who's Played, Coached, and watched football for 24+ years I FULLY STAND WITH MALACHI MOORE. I wish Bama had more players that showed that kind of passion, probably wouldn't have lost. Yes, kicking the ball shouldn't have happened, but people are only whining because it's Alabama. If you have never played football and lost a game you shouldn't have lost or lost a close game then shut up.

So, it is Kevin Deboer and it's not Kevin Deboer(how ever you spell his last name). I have no doubt Deboer is a great coach and is capable at being successful at a program like Bama. But...but...the players in the south are different than players on the west coast and South Dakota. Players in the south need old school, hardknoocks, "I'm gonna beat yo a$$" as a parent mentality. That tough love type of coaching. Coach Saban had this and players can tell when a coach has no fear of them but at the same time loves them. And Deboer, in my opinion, aint that type. I said what I said.

Very stupid of anyone to mention firing any staff after one loss. The team needs to GET BETTER and hopefully they do. The fools reacting like that should be challenged to prove their expertise with their coaching records or achievements at their job! I remember seeing a comment on a video after the 2022 loss to Tennessee and the DUMB AS* actually typed that Coach Saban should be fired. So there are a lot of people out there and some are just plain STUPID. Also don’t take away from Vanderbilt’s well played game that was 130+ years in the making.
