Irvin is an employee of the NFL. They operate under policies and codes of behavior set forth in an employment agreement to make personnel decisions-meaning the bar is much lower for wrongdoing. They can dismiss an employee based on the appearance of impropriety or what we might call “the optics”. The Marriott family are Mormons - their moral code high. Marriott Hotels are not under any obligation to release the video until they are compelled to during the discovery phase of a trial. I would expect them to be quiet while Irvin will try to influence public opinion to protect his reputation. I’m not taking sides but corporations are not stupid. I doubt the NFL would have suspended Irvin based on the tape that has been released because it does not show any wrongdoing… stay tuned.

Some say, "Thou protest too much!" and others say, "The more you deny, the more innocent you appear." This Obama appointed judge may be a, "Me too", proponent. A Rep appointed judge is more likely to view this case from an objective, case by case perspective. Conservatives by nature tend to judge the individual while Progressives tend to judge people by the groups they belong to, along racial, sexual identity and religious lines.

Florio -- I saw your one man take on this and I thought it was very enlightening until you brought politics into it. Most federal judges appointed since the Clinton Administration are corporatists. Maybe before then, but over the past three decades Dems and GOP picks have had that in common. Nominees feign partisan loyalty, and they may even have the prerequisite takes in some dusty pre-law review or on their social media or bumper of their car....but they get the Senate OK because they are OK for business.

The video shows Irvin having having a 40 sec conversation ends with a handshake. There was a eye witness who is a Eagle fan witness the situation.

He has no case. The girl reported something to her employer about his behavior (just as an employee should), the Marriott reported it to his employer (as would be sensible) and ESPN and NFL network were the ones who decided that he should be taken off the broadcast. The girl and the Marriott didn't do a thing to Michael Irvin. His beef is with the networks, but he won't sue them because, a) he wouldn't win and, b) he knows where his bread is buttered.
