But the one that got me most was anytime she put a board game anywhere other than under the coffee table. You either put them under the coffee table where anyone can see them and decide to play them, or you shove them in a closet to languish forever. There is no in between.

Speaking as an Australian, that one bottle in the kitchen that neither Jane nor Ellen could ever figure out? That was almost certainly Moccona instant coffee. The shape of the jar and the lid, it's almost certain. Which is weird, since they had a coffee maker and presumably didn't need to use instant, but there we go!

I love the story behind this simple game. From the crappy boyfriend who has NO space for you in his life to the heartbreak and moving back in, picking up fhe pieces of your life and moving on, getting your own place, and then finding the One, having your girlfriend move in, seeing your career taking off and succeeding, then buying your first house together and expecting! This game is so neat. The electronics (for the most part) can be turned on and off. This includes radios and CD players. Additionally, if you play on the PS5 and pick up radios that are on...the music will start playing through the controller.

A decent Christmas challenge would be a timed Dark Star level in Unpacking. That means you put _everything_ in the wrong place. The game awards you a dark star instead of the usual gold star. _Edited to add:_ But you have to darkstar all the preceding levels in the album or it won't work. So if you want to make the boyfriend's apartment the challenge level, someone will have to go darkstar the previous three levels ahead of time.

OHMYGOD! After watching this I started replaying my favourite Unpacking levels for the umpteenth time and I FINALLY realized what those three round little knick-knacks that the girlfriend brings with her are! If you try to rotate them, they open up to reveal a flower! Also, I had too much fun watching a friend of mine play the final level, since she had at the time become a mother. Not only did she teach me little new trivia like that it's not recommended to let a baby sleep with plushies, she got so annoyed by how little you can spread the nursery stuff around the house. Especially when the game didn't let her put the seat thingy in the living room, where it's likely to see most use. In her words, "You're going to see signs of a baby's excistence EVERYWHERE in the house, not just the baby's room."

Addendum to Jane's book-packing tips: you can put all your books in one box if you use a small box. My wife and I filled several large plastic tubs with books because they were going into storage and we wanted them sealed and the large ones were the only ones we had. It was heavy and they stacked poorly because of that.
