Another reason why I think blackbeard should be the final villain is that Blackbeard is the inheritor of the will of rocks D. Xebec just like luffy inherited Roger's will, this also tells us that 800 years ago there must have been someone who was the opposite and rival of joyboy, because just like joyboy passed on his will to roger and luffy someone must have existed who also passed on his will to xebec and blackbeard and he may have been be the true enemy of the world more than the WG.

Anarchy is not the opposite of liberation. The opposite of liberation is domination. Both of those characters want to make their own ruleset. But I'd argue that Luffy lives under and creates much less hierarchical structures than BB. The specifics of which we can argue. But I don't think anyone would which of the two seeks to set themself above others more. And that's the opposite of anarchy, otherwise know as hierarchy. Using strength as a measure of freedom is specifically making a hierarchy of strength, which violates the definition. Luffy doesn't want a world based on strength. He doesn't even want to say anything about how anyone lives. But he hates the weak being dominated by the strong. He hates the hierarchy of strength that exists in the world. Every villain he's defeated has relied on this hierarchy of strength to stay on top of their small portion of it. Soon as Luffy proved he was stronger than Doflamingo he moved on. He didn't exert that strength at all beyond freeing the weak from that hierarchy. So it's definitionally more correct. Don't get this twisted, I'm not saying Luffy is an Anarchist. I'm saying that calling BB the more anarchy embodying when Luffy is much more anarchic is mislabeling. This is fueled by an autistic fixation on words nothing else. In alignment terms BB is NE and Luffy is CG is what I mean. Edits: thoughts clarification.

My point is they are two sides of the same coins. Both extreme embodiments of freedom. The opposite for them is in their nature. Luffy being good and blackbeard is evil. I even say that liberation and anarchy can be the pirate freedom equivalent to how the powerful marines like admirals represent their own sense of justice

It is not impossible for his memories to have been altered by a previous memo memo no mi user and Ivankov altered his appearance. He could have taken Sabo in literally just off of relating to him.

There is no such thing as true, ultimate freedom. In fact, the very concept of freedom is absurd. A truly “free” being would be unbound by physical constraints and could therefore not even exist in a corporeal body. In fact, for something to even be considered a “being” at all it needs to be definable and therefore constrained to the attributes of it’s very specific nature. We are defined by our bounds! And this isn’t necessarily a bad thing! Sure, sometimes we dislike our limitations, but again, anything that exists as an individual, defined being has SOME limitations. Even God is limited by his nature and is therefore in a sense bound and unfree. (E.g. Hebrews 6:18 says, “it is impossible for God to lie”.) So what is my point? My point is that freedom is over rated and in fact doesn’t even exist. Goodness/happiness are instead what we care about! We want to feel like life is somewhat fair, and we want to experience nice sensations during our short time here on this earth. We want to smell and feel and taste and hear and see nice things and that’s just about it. This desire to experience nice sensory stimulation is our most fundamental motive for action. Freedom 🤷🏻‍♂️ Happiness 👍🏼

The Ultimate Theory: The Ending of One Piece. Hi Guys, I wanna state first and foremost, I did not think of this entirely myself. It's a HUGE mix of thoughts and theories that I shared with friends and read/heard online. It contains a lot of different things with my own ideas and thoughts added. I thought it would be nice for some dedicated One Piece lovers like me. Caution It seems weird to say it, but this theory sounds REALLY Accurate. It looks like all pieces to the puzzle fit, so it might ruin some expectations for you in whatever kind of way. Alright let's start: Let's call it The ending of One Piece First of all the theory starts with the core of One Piece. What keeps coming back during the story? The will that is being inherited. The will of someone that is inherited by someone else or a new generation. You constantly see it with a lot of characters in the One Piece story. So what does this have to do with the ending of One Piece? Well, everyone's will/goal will be accomplished at the ending. How does this happen? First of all, when the strawhats acquire the 4 road poneglyphs, ( THE 4TH ONE, WHICH IS UNKNOWN, WILL BE ON ELBAF, MARK MY WORDS ) they will find their way to Raftel. Either on raftel OR when they're almost there, they will fight Blackbeard. No details. Eventually when they are on Raftel, they will learn of the worlds history and the way to find the One Piece. So what will be learned on Raftel? This is what they'll learn: The world government is evil and wiped out the ancient kingdom that ruled. They will need to destroy the world government. This is the ultimate task that lies at Raftel, the Will of Gol D. Roger, which is to destroy the World Government. Sadly, he had an incurable disease that resulted in him not being able to accomplish his task. This is why Gol D. Roger let himself be captured and spread the words of Raftel and the One Piece to the world to make sure that one day someone will inherit his will and accomplish the task that he couldn't finish, to DESTROY the World Government. What is told? First things first, they will learn of the ancient weapons, that they need it for something BIG. You may think, for what? TO DESTROY THE RED LINE! This is the ultimate task. Destroying the Red Line. By doing this, Mariejois, which is on the Red Line, will be destroyed. However, this will also result into the Red Line crumbling into the the ocean.... but what is under the Red Line.... Fish Man Island. Yes, Fish man Island will be destroyed. The fortune telling Shark lady was Right. Luffy will be the man that destroys Fishman Island. How will the Fish mans survive? Exactly, THE ARK OF NOAH. The Huge ass ship that was made ages ago, was meant to be for the Fishmans to go up to the surface and live as equals next to humans, without discrimination. By destroying Fishman Island, the fishmans will use the ARK to travel to the surface and live as equals to humans. This will be possible due to the fall of the world government. However, the ship is basically dead. How can the ship go upwards to the surface!!? Remember Shirahoshi? She is one of the ancient weapons, she can CONTROL seakings. She will command the seakings to push the ship to the surface. So back to the task of destroying the Red Line. Luffy and his crew learns of this task and they need a huge weapons to be able to do that. One of the ancient weapons, PLUTON. A warship designed for unreal destruction. But..... the blueprints for pluton were destroyed..... Guess what. Franky has memorized it and will build it. They will ask ALL allies and the entire Straw Hat Grand Fleet to assist them in the final war that will SHAKE THE EARTH ITSELF. Oda stated in an interview: The final arc will have a war that makes Marineford look like a small fight. We have the straw hat grand fleet for a reason. Not to fight a yonkou, not to fight other pirates, not to fight an island, but to fight the entire world government. The final war will be the Strawhats and ALL its allies VS the World goverment, and it will result into the destruction of the Red Line. ( Btw Jimbei will go back to fishman island to warn the others and tell them of the plan ) FASTFORWARD What's next? The ending. It will be beautiful. I dont know if Luffy eventually will die, but I'm sure something like this would happen. Luffy will accomplish his dream > Becoming Pirate king. At that time, Zoro will be the strongest Swordman. The Red Line is destroyed so ALL THE SEAS ARE MERGED! Resulting in the legendary ALL BLUE > Sanji's dream. Because of ALL BLUE, Nami can draw a map of the world. Chopper will have found the cure for everything, maybe eventually cure Luffy of the same Disease Roger had. Brook will be able to see Laboon again. Franky will have made his legendary creation and have his friends travel with him. Usopp will be one brave motherfucker. Robin will know everything of the entire history. All dreams are accomplished. All adventures are finished, and just like that, the Legendary story of One Piece, ends..... ... but wait? What was the One Piece? What was the Treasure??? I dont know. It can be an AMAZING power. It can be everything, but to be honest, if I had to guess, It would be this: The One Piece is the ultimate freedom. Having the One Piece, makes you the Pirate King. The Free-est man alive. Exactly what Luffy wanted. Tell me what u think or wanna know and thanks for reading.

My only problem with this theory is that it does not make sense for Blackbeard to NOT be involved in the final war arc. Remember Blackbeard is the inheritor of the will of rocks D. There is no way blackbeard story is gonna be over before the climatic arc, the WG is not actually the core problem of the one piece world it's the ruling system of oppression by the celestial dragons along with blackbeard's idea of freedom that many pirates seem to have, those are main issues. So Blackbeard's represent a core problem that needs to be dealt with even more so than the celestial dragons, the idea of pure freedom with zero constraint that leads to anarchy and chaos, that everyone can do anything if they want and have the power to do so ( an ideology shared by Kaido also and many pirates in the world). So that's why I think that blackbeard is going to be active in the final war and even turn out to be the final villain even after the defeat of Im and WG.

I disagree with your take on freedom. Consider the following: Freedom = The absence of Coersion. You only have the right to your action, and not the actions of others. With that in mind, we must trade with each other to coexist. In this, the initiation of force is evil. Luffy only aims his force at those who have initiated force and on behalf of victims with their sanction. Ideally, the government holds the monopoly on retaliation force, but since they can’t be everywhere and are kinda evil themselves (they initiate force), Luffy fights for his friends who just want to live a life absent of coercion.

The anwser is always on a grey spectrum because both of this extremes would lead to either anarchy or a authorian dictatorship respictivley. I personally value freedome alot but having abslutely no rules would spell disaster.

Think political correctness, our trying times with our governments these past few years, with COVID and whatnot, the financial collapse because of COVID restrictions... I'd take freedom over safety ANY DAY. For me it was the case even before COVID, but that really made you see. People nowadays are willing to trade their freedom for little bit of safety and comfort. That's messed up! As humans we should never sacrifice our freedoms for anything!
