I am glad to see Hasbro finally came around and updated this version of Captain America for Marvel Legends! This figure is not perfect but it is a huge upgrade over the previous Bucky Cap figure!

For the neck peg, what I like to do is dip the neck in hot water until the neck peg is soft enough that you can bend it backwards so you an arch it a bit and hold it til it cools off and boom now it can look all the way up, and for the shoulders again dip them in hot water pop them off cut the extra piece on the peg pop them back in and boom now the buttlerfly arcticulation is not hindered

Artwittoys did a fantastic tutorial on how to get more range on the Vulcan body, basically it’s just dremelling out more from the front and back of the channel where the butterfly joint cap sits.

The Vulcan body's super limited butterfly joints make me appreciate the Sunfire body. I bought the Astonishing Ant-Man figure and was pleasantly surprised at it's butterfly range. Since it's on the Sunfire buck it's butterflies can go all the way forward and back. I wish the Vulcan could have the superior butterfly range of the Sunfire.

I think you can shorten the pegs on the arms to get the full range from the butterfly joints. I've done that with the Walmart Spider-man, Amazing fantasy and even the Black Series Jedi Survivor Cal Kestis

We need a Steve Rogers on this body! Do it a bit differently than the classic Cap and base it off his current suit in the Sentinel of Liberty series where the boots and gloves are more modern looking

Apologies for the long comment but yeah Double ball peg joints are actually far better than hinge joints as they add for more dynamic posing and slight expressions like moving the head down to the right or left of the body for intimidating or serious poses. The problem is that Hasbro doesn't know how to make a good functional double ball peg because they are lazy and set the ball peg too far down AnthonysCustoms has shown how much better double ball pegs are to hinge joints. If you remove some of the plastic on neck it will greatly increase movement but we shouldn't have to fix our figures because of Hasbro's incompetence, same goes for the butterfly joints, if heat it up and pop the joint off all you need to do is cut the peg smaller and increases the range on the Vulcan body mold. Hell even double ball peg on torsos is better then ab crunch, pretty much every import company and NECA has shown how much better they are, but at the end of the day it comes down to Hasbro's laziness that interview on Sharts channel showed how big their egos are and get annoyed when asked hard questions like price increases with no added value to justify it.

Outside of the stupid wrist clip system, this still is a huge improvement over the previous version. The proportions look a lot better unlike the first one having a tiny peanut head and tiny little feet

You don’t need the lower neck joint to make a double ball peg work. If you do it right it should work fine on its own and is superior in every way to the stupid disc hinge. It allows for far more range and nuanced posing than a disc hinge ever will. A proper double ball peg has all the movement in the bottom joint (a large ball) and the top joint is there for slight adjustments (small peg). Hasbro designs it in reverse where there give not only a gigantic ball at the top and not only a tiny ball at the bottom, but they also do themselves a disservice by burying the stupid peg as far as it’ll go down inside the neck. Thus it’s smothered and surrounded by unnecessary plastic, and therefore it has nowhere to go. If they made the bottom ball bigger and brought it up closer to where the head and neck connect to each other then it would work properly. You don’t need that stupid ugly notch like they do for Spider-Man figures sometimes. If they did it right they wouldn’t need the notch at all.

That butterfly joint excuse of safety standard is BS, if you go back some older legends on Wolverine, pizza spiderman, and sunfire bodies, they are just simple peg that goes into shoulder. While doing customs you see that newer figures arm peg extends to a rail that has to be keyed into which was not there on older body molds. Which means they don't want people changing or removing parts.

To me, it’s the excessive reuse. I don’t think there’s anything necessarily wrong with the body, but just after seeing it so many times in such a lazy fashion it’s kind of lost its shine. But when it first came out on Bucky, I freaking loved it, I still love that Bucky figure and always will, but Some figures that they’ve use this body on are really terrible

8:32 The boots look oddly turned at the calf swivel when standing. They aren't as straight as they are on the side packaging art. To me it seems like the figure's upper boot parts are swapped. The figure's right upper boot looks like it's on the left leg in the render. He also has long legs.

How come you yiu didn't compare Bucky Cap too the recent Ultimate Captain America? I think it'd be a good comparison between the most recent figure of Steve Captain America and Bucky Cap. Also, I'm curious if Bucky Cap's shield is the same larger shield that was released with Ultimate Cap. That's my main complaint with Commander Rodgers, he reused the smaller shield from 80th Cap.
