Hello, I'm struggling with my anthuriums right now too. I get the same spots as on your waroq esmerelda on some of my anthuriums. Right now I have one waraq in a grow tent in semi-hydro at 70% humidity and 80 degrees f. Another on in tree fern aroid mix in room conditions (75f, 30% to 60% humidity). And one in a clear storage box in my basement under grow light, so 100% humidity and around 70f. I cant really tell right now which is doing better since they all basically lost all there leaves and are growing back, but the one in the grow tent is doing the worst, I think because either the temperature or because its sitting in water. The one in tree fern mix is just growing back and hasnt shown any leaf spots yet so crossing my fingers. The one in the basement is also growing back but gave me a perfect (tiny) leaf so Im just going to leave it and see how it goes.

I hate Facebook Marketplace aswell i have literally given up on it. I don’t understand why either they don’t read the descriptions. I have downsized alot of plants more easy going ones. Another reason i don’t collect Aroids cause of the maintenance and hate moss poles too. I like growing plants that suits the aesthetic of my home. You will be a great Mum and great parents. I have alot of experience and knew what i was going to expect cause i looked after young children since i was 18. Also being a Mum you will always have this connection with your kids cause you gave birth to them. Also the love you have for them as soon as you give birth is hard to describe it from day 1. You feel your heart want to explode is very overwhelming. I feel son’s attach to their mums more and daughters with their dads. But the love between a Mum and Daughter is always connected. As i never really felt close to my Dad compared to my Mum.

Yes they’re pretty easy if they don’t have colic. But once they can roll over you have to start watching them. Long before they walk or even crawl. And when they can roll both ways, then they can move quite fast.

As soon as you baby is born you would die for him!!! As for bonding-don’t feel bad if you think you haven’t! It’s normal not to ‘feel’ it, but it’s deep in your core! Sometimes you may think your baby hates you & you haven’t a clue how to make him content but that’s fine too-you 3 need to get to know how to be a family xxx you’ll be just fine! Xxx

Is it possible those spots are from your alcohol and essential oil concoction? Tiny drops of oil might lose colour in the light?
@unplantparenthood10 ай бұрын
I thought it might be, but a lot of plants I’ve never sprayed before (especially new emergent leaves) also have it. I’m almost certain it’s something fungal and I’m not even surprised because fungal things always seem to find my anthurium 🤦🏻♀️ I’m cursed!!

I wonder if there's maybe a vent near that area with the woman's perfume... it could be coming from another unit nearby if there's a vent maybe close enough. Some older women go HEAVY on perfume, plus the pregnancy smell might add to it!
@unplantparenthood9 ай бұрын
That’s what I was thinking but we don’t have any connecting vents that I know of! And the only vent in the area is actually an exhaust fan that goes straight outside 🫣

You may not immediately bond with your child. I didn't feel any overwhelming feelings right away but of course I loved mine and wanted to care for him right away.. the bonding came over time but was quick, like days. :) don't try to hold yourself or your experience to any standards.. things will happen, if they are meant to happen, whenever it's right for you and Archie.
@lisaanglim958810 ай бұрын
You will instantly love him but sometimes bonding takes a while. I had a raised temp so I couldn’t have my baby brought to me. Until the day they said I could leave. They brought her bassinet with a baby In it and had to diaper and dress this stranger. But I loved her immediately so I was able to take the time to bond. My dad gave me some advice that helped me. So don’t feel bad if you don’t bond immediately.

Wow you are in the 5th month? My belly looks like yours as my baby was born. 😮 as I was pregnant I thought the opposite about the baby in my belly. Your lil alien is the closest person to you that can be in this world. It is literally the combination of you and your husband. What you do like, he/she will like. My daughter is now 1,5 years young and she is copying everything we do. For example she like to eat (now)what we eat. Like the stuff that we like. I always think, she is like a lil running copy of my boyfriend. But she looks in many ways like me. If you hold your baby the first time its like the world stand stil. There is just you and this lil piece of you. (And now, when I remember on this moment in my life, I have to cry. Because its just so magical.🥹(you make literally a human with your body!🎉)) You dont have to be scary about your lil cutie. No one else in the world comes closer to you, in mind and body. (Hope you can understand what I mean, I am german and not a pro in english.😅)

Primitive animalistic instincts to procreate are the most disgusting shit that is ever to be, not mentioning the outrageous amazement over a cursed xenomorph developing and slowly turning into a parasite that some humans decide to be forever. Hold on, I need to throw up.
