Is song ke background ko samjhne ke liay ap ko is song ki coke studio journey dekhni paregi..... The whole song revolves around the female character " Marvi" a girl who was kidnapped by her village landlord for the purpose of marriage as she was so beautiful. Marvi fought with a cruel man till her freedom. She entered her village victoriously and the people especially the ladies welcomed her. Peacock denotes the character of Marvi....

Jamlo was sindhi man... He was prisoner. When British government made bridge for train but they were scare to test... So they Offered Jamlo if he drive train over bridge, he will be freed from Jail. He agreed, they gave em training. Eventually he cross that bridge. So people sung a song for him "Ho Jamlo", it become traditional song for wedding and happy moments since then. Even bollywood try ruined it by makin "Hi Jamalo" 🐧

Peacock reference: The basic concept of this song is based on a folk story, where the lead girl is abducted by the king but she remains loyal to her love of life and resists the king by not eating anything, eventually the king has to send her back to her village seeing her resistance and persistent nature.... so when she is coming back to her village, the people of her village give her a grand welcome singing "AYI AYI" means here she comes (victorious queen)..... the entry of the peacock actually is symbolizing her's coming back to the village.

The dolphin painted is famous blind dolphin of River Indus. What a detail to basic level. Peacock is also a famous indigenous animal of that area signifies colours of land also.

Hi, let me help you understand this. Basically, it's the story of Umar Mari, a folklore from Umerkot Sindh. Mari was in love with Umar and she was very pretty. The king of that time forcefully took her and wanted to marry her. He locked her in his castle of Umerkot. Mari was so faithful and a woman of honor, that she didn't accept the king's offer. He promised to give her all the assets she wanted. Mari never agreed and denied everything. Throughout this period she did not eat anything and went on a hunger strike where she was locked up. She said I would rather die than be disloyal. Ultimately king had to surrender. He released her and respectfully sent her back to her village where she was welcomed as a heroine and finally, she ate a simple meal at home. This is beautifully symbolized by the peacock in this song. I read this story when I was very young. I am a Visual Arts Student.

I’m from Sukkur Sindh, the rapper Babar Mangi belongs from Sukkur. The Dolphin on the wall indicates the blind dolphin that is only found in river indus Sindhu Darya that passes througu Sukkur. The peacock indicates That where these peacocks are found mostly and these two female vocalists belong from that region. That borders Rajasthan of india thus similar influence and taste that you feel. Amazing reaction as always ❤

Jamalo sheedi was a sindhi prisoner who was offered liberty on the condition that he crosses the train from a newly constructed Landowne bridge in Sukkur, Sindh. He successfully crossed the train and on the other side his wife started dancing chanting: Here he comes jamalo victorious ( muhnjo khati ayo khair san Ho Jamalo! ) this song has become part of Sindhi culture. In this song too Marvi comes back to his village after refusing to marry the king of that time Umar. Villagers are welcome Marvi saying: Ayi ayi here she comes back. Keep this context in mind and listen to the song again

JAMALO SHEEDI this name has huge influence in Sindhi culture and that is why it was used in the rap part and the whole song is about an insane folk lore of MARVI who was abducted by the king of that time destined to be his queen and it wasn't the case of just abduction the king loved her but MARVI never did so she convinced the king that instead of being a forceful relation he should take her back to her people and the day she returned her whole village said aayi aayi (here comes she) and the peacock in the video is the reference to cholistani culture

It's a story of a Dessert Region call "Thar" which is jointly occupied by Pakistani Province Sindh and Indian Province Rajhistan. There was one poor beautiful Lady "Maarvi" who was loved by that time Raja. So it's a famous story of Sindh Rajhistan area "Thar". Peacock is local bird of Thar area.

You never know they copied it from Sindh , just to add there is an english occasional song "Jolly good fellow" that is copied from a very old pashto folk song. So lets not assume that subcontinent always copies them , they copy us too. . This is their folk song at least a thousand years ago..
