Chad , I have to say, "Thank you" for deciding to make U tube videos. No matter what my day is like, you manage to make me laugh or at least make me smile. Adler has your same sense of humor and also makes me laugh a lot. I am like you in the sense of not giving 2 hoots what people think of my clothing. Due to an old injury I don't get around very good anymore, so I look forward to your entire family's videos. 🥰 🥰. So keep up the awesome videos and stay safe. God Bless you and your family 🙏🙏

I think it's a great idea to keep his coat. It's beautiful! And as far as what you wear, you are on a farm and you get dirty. Also in the last video, all I noticed was that you looked like you had lost weight. As for the fanny pack, most of us knew that the pew pew was in there. Please tell Rae how beautiful she is for me. I love the fact that she doesn't wear makeup. She really doesn't need it.

That is a great honor to Franklin to keep his hide, and that makes perfect sense to do his hide in the winter. Chad you make perfect sense it comes down to being a leader not a follower. You and Case rock the fanny pack 👍. I use your 123-321 it works. Rae please put the recipe up for us. My grandma told me she ate lots of beans😅. it makes sense to process them in the winter when their furs the thickest. the multi-colored hides would make great wall hangings but Franklin and Taters will be beautiful rugs. there ain't nothing wrong with wearing a fanny pack, especially when it's tactical.

Winter hides are always the best because of the full fur, but check with the person you are going to process it. They can give you the best advice. Franks is beautiful, I would keep it also and hang it on the wall.

Chad you are correct in the assumption of the hide tanning. Once the weather changes and the winter coat starts falling out there is no tanner I know of that can prevent it from continuing to shed...they're a mess !!! I have a moose cape that does that and it drives me nuts !!! I would also think the meat would have a little more marbling in it, but that's just a guess. Have a wonderful winter !!!

On my sons 21st birthday he went on skateboard pipes and ramps for the 1st time and broke his leg and dislocated his ankle. When the nurse asked him what color he wanted his cast, he literally told her hot pink. My son was one of those very popular guys that could pull this off. All the girls loved it. He could care less what anyone said. 😂 Your farm, your life, your decisions. God bless, your neighbor in Bartlesville.

Hey Y'all, if you don't care much for onions I have a suggestion. I use leek in a lot of my cooking instead of onions. You get that flavor without having to eat a piece of onion. The leek look like a big spring onion. I chop it up and cook, by the time your meal is ready, the leek breaks down and you hardly see it. When I find it for a good price, I slice the root end off, chop off the leaves, take off one outside layer and chop the rest up until you come to the sand, (collects in the green part) you will see. Then I throw it into a freezer baggy and it's ready to use right from the freezer. It's a win, win situation for me that dislikes biting into an onion.

If I remember what I read about fur trapping, the winter coat will be the thickest and most lush, once warm weather comes he will start shedding out the underlayer and his coat will be thinner. Probably, for the best coat, no later than February or early March, depending on when your seasons warm up. Here in CT we get a deep freeze from December to January, then a spring thaw that can last up to 6 weeks with temps back up into the 70's, followed by a cold snap from March until late May. If you have that spring thaw in Oklahoma it might mess up the shed pattern but its also tied to day length, like so many other things.
