I agree regarding the lack of 10ml bottles, and I hate dabbers. I think the niche houses don't want their products to lose "exclusivity" with the 10ml bottles; they want to continue to put a dent in your wallet! LOL. Creed is like this. All they have is the 2ml sample, then the 1 oz bottle...for $300. It's wild! Thanks for your commentary!

Totally agree with 10 ml bottle thing, I respect Kayali so much for that, and the dabbers omg

I think also the problem has become everyone wears a fragrance to get compliments, what about YOU liking the fragrance for yourself regardless of who cares? No one can make me hate BR540 either, it was the first perfume I ever actually liked and I can say it wears well 💅🏼😊

I had a similar concept for a video like this and never got around to it. 🙃I’m going to have to try this. Thanks for sharing! ❤️ I enjoyed! I also agree with the 10 ml bottles looking like the full size bottles that would be soo nice!

yes, I own 3 Amouage fragrances: Overture- boozy apple leather vanilla , Material - complex vanilla, Crimson - Cinnamon goodness shines thru fall/winter. Longevity is beyond excellent.

Agree with the amouage and the 10ml situation 👌Yes on that vanilla note! They all smell the same, very sickly sweet and linear. It used to be my favorite note when I was younger but since discovering more notes/fragrances it's been tough to find my dream vanilla fragrance. Try Nuit et Confidences by Annick Goutal, it's not "wow" for me but it's a good vanilla

I absolutely agree with you about the weird hate around popular fragrances, but I also think some people truly do not like bakarat rouge…me being one of them. I get the cotton candy like thing, but there is a latex glove/gasoline like smell that I know many others get as well. I appreciate the art, but would never wear. For hyped, I totally get delina or happy dust by narcotica
@destinyjcyrus7 ай бұрын
Yeah, I personally don’t like nauseatingly sweet fragrances. I will definitely try Annick Goutal. Funny enough, I have been wanting to try that house for a very long time! Thank you for the recommendation ❤

I think you should look more niche houses. You mentioned vanilla 28 and that’s really basic compared to more high end niche options that are available. The price point for kayali is much more accessible though

I am definitely into niche fragrances, I just think I haven’t found my vanilla perfume yet. 👎

Try Phlur Vanilla Skin body mist at sephora(before committing to the bottle). It has cashmeran and some depth. Very warm, cozy gourmand.

@@destinyjcyrus I hate to be the one, but this one smells so musky and disgusting to me. I do not like it at all; I'm actually returning it to Sephora later today. It has this same weird smell that Montale, Mancera and 7 Virtues vanilla has; super animalic and musky.

Love Tuberose is nice, if you're not someone who's sensitive to really lush white florals (tuberose and gardenia), because the whipped cream note sweetens and adds balances. Love Delight was also nice but I have to test again. Honor Woman is not offensive. Very clean, unsweetened, lush, white florals. Honestly don't see myself adding Amouage until maybe 15 years from now.

I'm still slowly coming around to white florals, so maybe in a few years I'll revisit Amouage!

Amouge: I love Love Tuberose, it’s so scrumptious. Otherwise, Honour Woman is nice and there is a “men’s” one (Meander, maybe?) that I like, but the new ones all have the same base and I find it kind of scratchy.

Agree re 10ml bottle. It is equitable and allows more people to access fragrances. It is sad, really, that you should have to fork out $300 for a perfume you want. Yes, you can buy decants, but having the professional travel sizes is great! I am not a fan of Kay Ali (longevity is poor) but the packaging is wow.

I think we deserve the craftsmanship of the bottle no matter what size we purchase.

BR 540 was sooooo hyped and still hyped today , although it has settled bc even those that will forever have the fragrance and love this fragrance acknowledge that it is pretty commonly worn ..... When I first got my sample I was so confused, sweet Where? on my skin it is earthy , woody ,....... I honestly don't even really like it when I smell it on someone else , simply how my nose is perceiving the fragrance , no lies , just not my scent profile ... if I smelled a cotton candy sweetness, I'd be all over it lol , I do like For Your Love from Mizensir , not a dupe but in the same family but I can smell sweetness in FYL ..... I completely agree Amouage is a more challenging house 😍

Try LES ABSTRAITS perfumes. All pieces of art. Actual niche It’s because you’re trusting hype, reviewers, and people on a free bottle trains , the newer, and just suck. Royal tobacco is good. Save your wages and come back to them in a few months and keep smelling them. Overture woman is beautiful.

I stopped use deodorant maybe 2015. All are too strong to sensitive skin. I stopped use after shave maybe 1992. I have asthma. I hope people stop use after shaves and perfumes in grocery stores and other public areas indoor.

You have to realize that perfumes are like any other product. If you want McDonald's you get McDonald's rapper. Making signature bottles are not cheap. So the whole ideal of making miniature bottles is not cost effective. As far as Amouge, like most niche perfumes, they are for people who are really into perfumes and not your typical buyer. The major problem with this whole perfume craze is most people buy what others tell them to purchase. They don't get to know a house and the base DNA that is the foundation of lines. Then they get upset at the perfume when the blind buy and not the fact that they just choose to listen to someone else's opinion. You pointed out something that most people don't understand. You have to go where the perfume is and not just settle for most of these store. You want to sample Amouge then stop going to Macy's. You want to sample Dior exclusive you have to go to the Dior store or Sacks. And as far as cost , like Sheila E said "If you have to ask you can't afford the lingerie."
