Sight reading with an instrument isn't really that difficult as long as you know how to read music and play the instrument. Don't get me wrong, playing flight of the bumblebee, albeit at this slower speed, is still impressive. I couldn't play it at that speed. But if you're going to play a classical piece to impress people, take the time to practice the piece and play flight of the bumblebee At its natural 600 beats per minute.

It also depends on the instrument. Different instruments will have different difficulty levels for the same song. Like with piano, you have to be able to play the main part 15 notes per second as well as the left hand, whereas with other instruments you only need to master the one part. I think they are difficult, but its more than just chromatic scales but faster

I liked the process of learning the piece that you used. As a saxophonist, I struggle with playing the 3rd octave on the flute cleanly. Seeing you do it slowly at first with the correct breath control before taking the tempo up was great to see. You did a very good job with this piece in such a short time. And you made a fun video to watch. Thanks!

As a instrument player ( like myself) I feel that the song '' Flight of the Bumblebee'' is one of those pieces that shows that you've mastered your instrument . But its not the hardest. I think that people are really intimidated by the fact that its fast and most of them don't know their scales.
