She was a theft, never a victim. I don’t give a fuck about her problems and traumas, she had a job, that’s all she had to do, not getting involved in other families and taking care of someone who’s dying, hiding it from CeCe’s daughters and relatives. She did all on purpose. She also stole Charlotte’s identity and Lily’s home.

no cause I agree. She wasn't my favorite character by any means (the writing and the dialogue she was given were atrocious), but she was a victim. All she wanted was to do her job as an actress and have a loving family. It is really sad how she got portrayed as a villain by the end, she really deserved better

Even that scene in the lobby with William and Lily being the last time we see her like really? How the fuck did WILLIAM she get a better final scene than her. Make it make sense kmt.

She’s way more relateable as she coming a working clas background a truly outside. But Dan is some who semi in and semi out; due to his family position being upper middle class (like park slope parents types) breaking into new money wealth. She was use by Lola mother as a paid actor to a family feud, disposed off and Serena founded her again in her time of crisis being absolutely poor with no family and poor boyfriend who wasn’t helping. Then the boyfriend is jealous because she become successful without him.

I'm not saying she's completely innocent and that I like her or anything, I'm just saying she wasn't any worse than any of the other characters on the show so the extra heat on her doesn't make sense to me 🫢

OH MY GOODNESS THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS VIDEO!!! I can't explain how much I enjoyed Ivy's character. She's honestly so interesting and even makes it to the top 10 of my favorite characters on the show. While I do get the hate because we've all gotten used to our beloved main characters, I think some people fail to realize how much good she wanted to do to make up for the mistakes she's done, which is something the other main characters didn't really do throughout the show. The fact that even Cece knew who she was and the rest of the Van Der Woodsens failed to realize that just annoyed me so much. It just shows how further corrupt this higher class in society really is... (Cece being at the top because she kept her secret lol but still... I love this show and how complex it is when it comes to these things, and I love analyzing it in that way!) I do wish that storyline was shorter though because it really started to go downhill with the whole Rufus and William stuff. (I understand the Rufus thing despite it being gross because Lily pushed Rufus to get to that point, which completely ruined his character in season 6. As well as other things for that matter, which is why I pretend season 6 didn't happen lmao that whole season just doesn't exist to me for other reasons that are unrelated to this tbh...) Anyway, I'm so glad that this was talked about because it's so overlooked (and I'm so sorry for how long this comment is lol I just have too much thoughts about this and the show in general)

No no, I love getting engaging comments like these because I literally make our long videos on my rambling thoughts so I appreciate your input thank you. I also really like your admiration for her. I think she's underrated in a sense even though I don't particularly love the character I think her storyline was fun interesting and a nice inclusion in season five. I do agree that she wasn't needed for season six at all, like that wasn't necessary with the whole William story thing was gross, the Rufus thing was also really gross it just wasn't needed. I think it just goes to show that the whole outsider thing was actually really important to them and some I didn't realise initially watching it like they don't give a fuck about anyone who isn't like them and I didn't clock that straight away but I think Ivy really highlights this for us.

She was not a victim at all. She was con artist hired to do a job, got caught and was shut out as she should’ve been what did she expect?? Then to dedicate her life to taking them down after that just became completely annoying and conning Rufus all at the same time. I disliked her when I watched it 7 years ago and I dislike her now. THEN, like the narcissist her character was, she swore revenge on the family because SHE got exposed for her lies 😂 she was not a victim AT ALL lmao you’ve gotta be just as delusional as her to believe that

im rewatching and i would’ve agreed during s5 esp the end..but s6?? she’s horrible..lily was always super nice to her and tbh she never had the right to take lily down or whatever that plot line was. it was weird and she seemed desperate for no reason..she was a con artist

Oh yeah for sure. Don't get me wrong i know what she did was wrong but i just disagree with how much of a villian they made her out to be. When she came clean she was deeply apologetic, the scam wasn't even her idea, she fell in love with the family, she helped put carol away, she was willing to rip the check up to show that she genuinely loved them and lily was just so cold to her. The video is about seeing things from ivy's POV and when we do, like i said i don't think she was as bad as they treated her. Like Lily isn't a saint either she put an innocent man in prison and she can forgive her cheating husband who almost destroyed her marriage and tried to run away with her family but not this young 18 year who had no family and took a job but ended up fallling in love with her family? like really? @@zara7302
