Agreed with almost everything except the last one. That’s the worst advice ever. If you have a great relationship with your parents why move out just to move in with some stranger? I think it’s a massive privilege to be able to get on and live comfortably with your parents, why willfully struggle just to say you live on your own? There are other ways to up your credit, and if you a lazy bum in your parents house you’re going to be a lazy bum with a roommate or on your own too. Just do what works best for you at this time. The age limit is arbitrary. Back in the day it was expected to move out at 18, then 21 now 25. The limit is always changing depending on the state of the economy which is really terrible globally right now, it’s the WORST time to move out.

I have to disagree on the “if you are at least 25, move out of your parents house”. It would be smarter if you save money to be able to move out & stay out. A lot of young people are such in a rush to move out on their own, they get caught up and have to go back and ask mom & dad for help. Do what’s smart, if you have parents that want you to stay and save money, do that. Then move out when you are ready to do so. There’s no age limit on making mistakes either. People that are 35, 45, 85 years old still make mistakes. Be smart & strategic with your plans and money.

Not everyone has parents that treat them right. Some parents emotionally, physically, mentally, and even financially abuse to the point where they try to slowly kill you, and that's why some people rather live on their own or with roommates despite the rising costs, even it means being homeless than to be under the roof of the same people who have done nothing but make their life a living hell. I agreed with most of the things said besides “move out your parents house by 25”. Granted I did get my own apartment here in jersey after moving from NYC at the age of 21 & I’m now 24. But honestly I wish I would of waited. These bills & rent is GHETTO🥲..It’ll seem cool & you’ll feel all grown & independent but that lease that you signing to hand over tens of thousands of dollars to that landlord for years, Is just NOT SMART cuz you will not own anything when it’s all said & done. Your just paying that landlords mortgage & lining his/her pockets. That same money could of been your down payment on a house to own & have an actual asset ‼️ Trust me, Wait if you can.
@theunofficialar2 жыл бұрын
What you’ve said is correct. It’s all good and well having your own space but giving someone money to live in their place when you can live in your parents’ place and potentially pay half of what a landlord wants you to pay, is deffo the smarter option. People will move out to rent and then be surprised when they can’t save a dime, or it takes them longer to get on the property ladder because they wasted all those years renting. I think you should only move out if you absolutely have to/have a good opportunity which requires moving out.

I never understood why people are taking relationship advice from single people or people who sleep around. Ask anyone who has been married for 7+ years and stop asking people who live alone, sitting behind a microphone with no partner. In a lot of cultures people do not leave their home until they are married it’s really in the us that they steady telling us we have to be alone to succeed but okayyyy. Also I do noticed that a lot of people who HAD to move out from young usually due to unfit or unhealthy mental or physical situations always seem to preach that people need to learn from their mistakes. I have learned many lessons including fixing my credit and learning to save while at home. Just a thought I feel it can be bias when people are just preaching for people to leave their healthy homes lol like not everyone needs the hard life and the lessons y’all want them to learn it’s kinda weird . Butttt I agree with everything else pretty much love your videos as usual! Proud of you !

I’ve recently cut off certain family members bcus I was tired of being the bigger person or I had to be one in order for them to feel better of what they’ve said or done. I’ve felt like a black sheep & will always be questioned on whose side I’m on when they don’t question anyone else & every time I express or explain to them my concerns they always turn it against me

Truth be told? I could never be on one of these “alpha male” podcasts. It’s just turn embarrassing for them really quick because you can literally hear the insecurity dripping from each word. They pick women who don’t really understand what they’re talking about purposely. I also agree with your point about Southern whites being able to season their food. Most of my family is from the south and though I’m black, I also have some white family members from Mississippi that can cook they ASS off!

@@casuallym3 Exactly like if you actually chose someone who knew what they were talking about, you know your podcast would have been over or a laughing stock. This is all planned behavior to push narratives with word salad sentences and fake facts they sourced from their imagination

I disagree with the Rihanna lip syncing. She’s had several performances where I wish she would’ve synced. I think it just took a minute for her to get to where she is now vocally because of her alleged rockstar lifestyle.

Learning how to be independent and a “better person” has nothing to do with living wit your parents lmao living alone is not only a big responsibility & privilege that alot of ppl cannot do & i been following you for a min so i know YOU know roommating with ppl is not the move either 😂

I think it is important to do if you are in North America (helps build character, self-reliance, learning more about yourself and all in all you gain more life skills) however this is not going to work if you live with room mates for true, just live by yourself, all alone and see how it goes. Only problem is it’s easier said than done and being this world had crazy people in it along with high interest rates and rent sky rocketing in my area of residence moving out is now more challenging than past times.

Yeah but realistically if you have supportive responsible parents who can support you well into your adulthood (your 20's) by 25 there should be no reason you couldn't handle your own. I have never actually seen someone with the privilege of staying at home for that long fully grasp what responsibilities are because you simply don't have them living at home. You will always have some kind of leeway even if you are paying your parents to stay there that you will never have by yourself, that alone is stunting potential growth. Ofc you arent saving like you should or budgeting like you should when you know you have a guaranteed place to stay. I mean why would you even want to be complacent in your mid 20s anyways. At what point do you sprout your wings your 30s? Jeez. 🤷🏽

I feel like black people mistake struggle for growth. Yes you can grow from struggle but that doesn’t work all the time and sometimes it can do more damage than good. My parents are from the Caribbean and have struggled a lot and make sure that my siblings and I don’t have to go through what they went through. We are also very very independent. My parents also want me to stay home until I have my finances together and build a strong credit score. I plan to do this for my children as well. This is how you create generational wealth. Not mention Sociology is one of my majors and I can tell you that one of the reasons why White, Asians, and South East Asians tend to be better of socio economically is because they make sure to give their children a cutting edge. They rather tell their children their mistakes and not put them through unnecessary situations they may not want to be in for “growth”.

Ok so my Aunt who passed away had vitiligo in the 70's and 80's when I was a kid. Our family was traumatized by her having this condition. It got my beautiful Aunt pretty bad. We were afraid it was hereditary and I couldnt imagine life with my color fading in spots. Someone once called my Aunt a "spotted cow" (that hurt me). Back then we didnt know anyone else who ever had this skin appearance. Some said my Aunt was cursed....that bothered and worried me. I'm so happy that this young lady Winnie Harlow (spell check), is getting put on the map specifically for having this condition. WIsh my Aunt was here to see it, but it's all good....My Aunt portrayed confidence even though she had vitiligo and other health conditions and very odd behavior. I'm sure she is fine in the arms of my Lord. Love you Troyce!
