Blessings Elder. You speak the truth, but we can tell from the footnotes of your bible that you do read the bible, theres nothing wrong with that. You found the scripture and you reflected on it, and you saw the contradiction this is good. If you take the bible as a cinderella story, then why are you angry at people for doing things which are not in the Cinderella story - Bible. Should you not be proud that as much your people use the bible they are able to also go beyond it. With the littering and making sacred places dirty, I agree on that one, it is indeed disgusting. But the fact is that Sangomas and Nyangas also do some of those things in the mountain and by the river. When you pray out loud, you're not doing it for people, nor because you think God is deaf. But because you are trying to activate the Spirit within yourself, and at the same time you're trying to appeal to the nature Spirits, so that they pay attention. It is the ancient belief that spirits respond to noises, as much as they respond to silence. Hence the beating of the Drum to call the Spirits edlozini. The singing out loud, the screaming and speaking nonsensical words is but a way of invoking the Spirits.
