I'm about a month into using Unraid and I guess I was feeling bold, I've been on 7 beta the entire time so for better or worse it's all I know. Which makes it interesting because I basically hardly ever know if some quirks that cause me to get stuck are just me being a noob or if I'm actually dealing with something glitchy. Some things have gotten pretty frustrating, but a good mix of your and Spaceinvader's videos with some Claude AI mixed in here and there, and I'm usually able to get sorted. Thank you!

I have an all ssd machine being used for my Beta testing. Reliable so far, but I'm not forcing ZFS array failures like others.

Hey man love your videos. Just getting started on the whole unraid journey myself. Maybe you would consider doing a setup/guide on romm and integrating it with syncthing for saves. Given romm's strict requirements i feel this would be helpful.

Hi, just wondering if 7 supports Windows previous versions of files , in truenas this is accomplished by snapshots and making available - just wondering if unraid 7 has a similar funtion when using a zfs pool?

Mover Tuning was taken over by a different developer and as of a few months ago was being rewritten from the ground up. It's probably worth waiting until that's done.

My 6.12.13 machine has a green circle on the browser tab. My 7.0.0-b4 machine has an orange triangle on the browser tab. I can't find any reference to the orange triangle, does that just mean that it's beta? The 7.0 machine is a fresh install.

Really exited about the improved GUI and VM management. Any idea when we can expect a release of Unraid 7.0 or a RC? Will the Docker overlay 2 improve read/write performance?

Just somewhat of a correction: The Tailscale plugin exists since 2023 and even supports Unraid 6.11.x

I stopped using Unraid and went back to Ubuntu Server because of the ridiculous idle CPU usage spikes. Looking at your video now too at 6:12, you have an i9 and look at those CPU spikes with only 7 dockers running. Doesn't happen in Ubuntu.

The docker containers were all starting up at that point so cpu spikes are pretty normal. When the dashboard is reloaded at 7:25 you can see that 16 containers are running and 2 had yet to start.
