There I stood in that enigmatic city, the perversion of euclidian geometry defying human comprehension. The buildings twisted and curved in such earilly organic patterns, yet not organic as our natural world would suggest. These black metal spires seemed to tower into the starless oblivion above and my mind wandered to the unseen horrors that lay just beyond comprehension.

There is something there in the Dark past the ice fields. It is north of the glacial cliffs. Away from the broken cities and ruins. It lies near the ocean, surround by ice bergs. Be aware, there is something horrid in that unseen space, down in what's like a cave. You'll find a man there looking into a found contraption. But you must not go. That horrid thing will watch you and eventually He will request your aid...

The signals started quiet, a whisper in the cosmic night. The first few were missed, as they were far too weak to be detected unintentionally. But this would not last. Soon, though, the signals began to get brighter, louder. Soon they were picked up, and the listeners listened. After a few decades of their broadcasts to the universe becoming ever clearer, and much deliberation, it was decided that these people should be contacted. Their world now was utterly screaming into the cosmos, they might as well know who is listening. It took another few decades to reach the world, faster than light travel was indeed possible but speeds that were many multiples of c were impractical. During the trip, the signals got even louder, and more desperate. The transmitters spoke of war, ever-increasing natural disasters, famine, plagues, even ecological collapses. The tension of their world was increasing, nothing could be done. When the listener's ship arrived, they found...nothing. Nothing was left of those that had screamed into the cosmos. All of their nightmares had come true. At the same time the climate change occurring on their world had fallen past the point of no return, an asteroid struck. Not large enough to wipe them out entirely, but with the added CO2 in their atmosphere, the tropics burned while everywhere else began getting colder and colder. This provoked what few nations survived into fighting over what was left, ultimately using their ultimate weapons against each other, wiping them out entirely and making the condition of their world that much worse. There was nothing left to find but ice and snow and the ruined cities.

I was not meant to be here. My eyes told me I was looking at a contorted wasteland but I could sense something more profound. Between the dark, viscous troughs and the chaotic obelisks, there existed a peculiar essence that fumed of something existentially toxic.

He couldn't help but laugh aloud as he saw of what became of their precious city.. they had been warned numerous amounts of times.. but their own arrogance was beguiling to the reality of what they'd been forewarned was to come.. while there buildings may have been built upon strong foundation, they'd spent so much time building those foundations, they forgot or were too tired for the foundation that mattered. The foundation of truth and honesty and sincerity and investing that same time and concern into their loved ones. Instead just like this city represented a great tragedy.. The broken buildings and grounds mimicking the real reality of the fruits of their loins. All the time wasted on such frivolouness and popularity seeking and wealth and fame... on being considered the most beautiful or most successful or most likely to succeed.. or the sexiest man or woman of the year, or the holiest of holy.. that they forgot about the simple pleasures.. and what it was like to be in a loving safe home. @@IronCthulhuApocalypse I am not an expert in Soundcloud, because I have been listening to music from the platform during last month. But I like it very much because 1) I hadn't seen such good recommendations anywhere before ; 2) To my mind, there is a quality realization of background listening. I like your works and often put them on while studying(math)) or reading (Lovecraft)) and I did it with the help of youtube before. but SoundCloud is more convenient in this way so I tried to find your account there but I failed. I think there is one con for you: You can post only 3 hours of music in a free account and it is only two-four your ambient works. So you should buy another. How did the rulers of Akkad change the civilization? Sargon was one of the leaders of Akkad, although he wasn't the first leader to put desperate cities and tribes together. Lugalzagesi, the King of Uruk,f did put cities and tribes together, while he was ruling. Sargon defeated the king and took the model of the city, which was given by Uruk and made it much bigger and stronger. Sargon also wanted to do was conquer all of the known world. He used military campaigns to keep his empire constantly in order. Sargon ruled over a lot of land that he called "the four corners of the universe". This empire made that section of Mesopotamia more stable and sturdy. According to a list called "The King List" there were five rulers of Akkad. The five rulers of Akkad were Sargon, Rimush, Manishtuso, Naram-Sin, and Shar-Kali-Sharri. Those five ruled for 142 years before the empire fell. Sargon ruled for fifty-six years. After his death his son Rimush took over and he made sure to follow his father's rules very precisely. After Sargon died, Rimush kept ruling and defeated Elam, a civilization that was located in present day Iran, trying to bring wealth back to Akkad. Rimush died after ruling for 9 years and then his brother, Manishtuso, took over. Many people thought that Manishtusu had something to do with his brother's death, so he could take the throne. He improved the empire to great extremes. He increased trade and made very impressive pieces of architecture such as the Ishtar Temple and Nineveh. He died a while later, and the cause is unknown.
