Unreal Engine 4 - Alien Planet Scene

This was definitely one of the harder scenes I've put together. Not because the environment was especially hard to create but because I didn't have a single alien themed mesh to use in creating this scene. It had to be made creatively using assets in ways they were not meant to be used and tweaking shaders etc to get a more unique look from many of them. I'm fully aware some assets such as the giant metal ring around the world look a little crappy and assets were a bit overused but this was mostly because of the previously stated limitations.
Outside of a few custom assets all assets used in this scene were bought from the Unreal Marketplace.

I may return to doing some of those in the future but overall I have a lot more fun with these when I can take a little more time on them. It also lets me hit a bit higher quality :)

I was wondering if any environments and level designs can be done in an anime art style? Not cel shaded but it looks like an anime in a 3d level ? Is it even possible. Character models are looking good now days with games like dragon quest 11, ni no kuni 2 and guilty gear xrd art style but what about levels and environments? Thank you

The material is a custom one I created. Don't need to build lighting on this, its 100% dynamic lighting :)

Sooo, Earth covered in red stuff, Ringworld from Halo, and the obligatory huge gas giant in the sky. Not very creative. And yes, it looks like it was ripped from No Man's Sky. Try something actually ALIEN, not a hurried composite of tired recent sci-fi tropes.
