Four2nothin Gaming What are you talking about? I bookmarked at least 10 channels doing the same. You just don’t open your eyes.
@four2nothin4 жыл бұрын
@@theperson278 its called sarcasm. They're far and few between. Nearly every tutorial expects you to know quite a lot and quickly rush through the tutorial. Unfortunately as someone who's still learning its hard for me to find channels that actually TEACH and EXPLAIN why they're doing what they're doing. If there are many out there, its not a matter of me "not opening my eyes" but rather youtubes poor algorithm.

I had an issue with object details -> Static/Stationary/Movable. Once you change an object from "movable" to "static," it automatically unchecks the "simulate physics" box under the "physics" detail option. If you have the same issue, just remember to re-check the simulate physics button if you switch back to movable.

Great series, around 5 minutes you wondered why UV, and got it right, but to explain it is simple, X, Y, Z map to U, V, W, if you are working only in 2 dimensions and thus do not need the Z-axis, you can drop the W, and left with only the UV, this naming is due to how computers save variables that they made two sets of them so they can save them in the same record, on some systems, the Z is saved, and so is the W for it, this is due to the format of the file, but if the UI does not give you access to edit it, there are other ways to get at it, the reason for dropping it and not having a UI for it is we are mapping onto a flat surface, so the Z is very small, so small we can ignore it, and why we do, I normally make my Videos using Blender, thinking about changing to Unreal Engine and just using my old resources.

UE4 refers to the "Gizmo" you referenced as a the "Transform Widget", or "Widget" for short. Just some knowledge for knowledge's sake!
@takis764 жыл бұрын
Yes, these axes appear in the 3D models they called Gizmos, and the one they change the shape of a 3D model they called: "Transform Gizmos". The action which changes the shape of the 3D model we call it: "Transformation" and the action we change the position of the 3D model in 3D space we call it: "Translation".
@nahco39944 жыл бұрын
I'd argue that knowing the right terminology for the tools you use is **very** far from just being "knowledge for knowledge's sake". But while we're at it, do you know if UE widgets can be customized in code as they can in Unity? I mean things like drawing colored lines and shapes in editor mode only. For example draw a colored wireframe sphere around your gravity source that visualizes the size of its gravity field in the editor window.
