good tip on the green screen correction move plane first then add it to it after if not it messes up thanks
@Urammar3 жыл бұрын
Hey man, really appreciate the tutorial. Giving back, instead of putting the texture directly on the plane, make a material and throw in your texture in there instead, litterally drag and drop. Connect that to emissive and put a texture coordinates node into the uv slot of the texture. Click that coordinate node and you can scale the texture dynamically to fit the plane, and it should also become local aligned instead of world aligned, so you can move the plane where you like and have it not distort. Cheers again, and pin my comment :p
@Urammar3 жыл бұрын
You can also mask, and multiply by a 3 vector colour to colour correct dynamically, and multiply the entire output by a constant to control brightness without involving post processing.

@cheesecakeweasel75174 жыл бұрын
What I've been doing (might not be right) go in the level sequence, hit the green + track button and choose audio there, and then drag your audio track onto it - when you render it will make a separate .wav file in your render folder

yeah i normally key out my footage in AE, export out as png sequence or video file, then into blender as images as planes and easy to drop into any CG scene i want. Is this not possible in UE4?
@lucianomagnone75683 жыл бұрын
@@ukmonk Yes that's the way to go. I left ue4 at the moment so i wouldn't know really, but maybe if you import your file with images as planes in Blender and then use the Blender to Ue4 addon, maybe that would work. I need to try it out haha.
@ukmonk3 жыл бұрын
@@lucianomagnone7568 thanks for replying. yeah i tried that and doesn't work! the addon pipeline to UE4 is cool though! although wish they would make it work for simulations etc or sort out the alembic

@@ukmonk Thats unlucky, gotta keep working around that problem i guess. Probably in the future the pipeline between softwares and Blender gets better, Blender is getting a lot of support from major tech devs, so unless its really necesary, i would keep using Blender instead and practicing nodes until it gets good enough. Good luck!

I think is pointless using that way the composite plane. It is fixed to the camera because you are projecting the plate and only showing up the area covered by that plane. So its the same as using composure but without the power of that keyer, as long as the composite plane one is really bad. I think that the point is using this composite plane to project footage over more complex geometry, so you can project over a building or a tree or a group of trees. I really wonder how can we get composure keyer capabilities on a moving plane. Maybe with a more complex material? Anyway, thanks for your videos, are great.
@Jsfilmz4 жыл бұрын
Ab Levi also one of the biggest plus for this method instead of composure is you can place the plane inside 3d space. Composure is 2d. I can animate the camera with composite plane like im actually in the house. Composure you cannot

@@Jsfilmz not agree. You only can see the video in the camera limited by where is the plane. If you change the plane nothing happens in 3d, only crops the image.

Awesome step-by-step instructions. For some reason, I noticed that my GreenScreen video capture locks up at about 1/3 of the way. It's not related to RAM, as the patch that I've found is to just create 2/3 more of blank green screen material... then it works. I also noticed that provided the BP_CineCam is in the scene, I can create other "normal" cameras, that move around and take different perspectives of the shoot. However, moving around the BP_CineCam moves the greenscreen on the plane. This was my first GreenScreen in UE4, thanks to you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYawpZhrZ755hLM
