To update anyone in the future using UE5: At 13:40 when he converts actors to static mesh the new way to do this is click tools at the top of the screen and then merge actors.

This video is very helpful for starters, for example me; when me and my friends starts game developing, none of us knows what collisions is and we keep getting error and new problems for our level design. İ already learned what collision is and how we use it but i ll be sharing this video when i talk with begginers, i m pretey sure this series will help them, this tutorial series is so helpful, thank you for all videos. Have a nice day...

Heya - loving these tutorials! I am completely new to this and don’t have any dev background (do have some design and a logical mind lol) and understanding these underlying systems is so helpful. You’re super clear and straightforward and and have a chill energy that makes it easy to stop and start and go back to rewatch - you’re doing amazing!!

Damn waking up to these kinds of comments is so heartwarming thank you so much! Because I've recently learned the program myself I'm doing my best to cut out all the "excess baggage" you don't really have to know to get to a pretty advanced level and just pass on what you need to know at a good speed haha. I wasn't sure if I was going too fast for almost complete beginners so it's so nice to know that I'm pacing well. Thank you for the support :)

Hey Kearin long time no speak! I was just wondering if you had seen any of my later tutorials, and if you have I was wondering if you still felt like I was going at a good speed or if I'm beginning to go too fast for you! Trying to make sure I'm going as fast as possible without rushing too far ahead for beginners so I'm looking to get some feedback haha. Hope you're doing awesome, looking forward to your reply =)

@@Beardgames heya - i have been following along - hanging out for inventory systems lol! I think for people that have been following along it’s good - in particular I find myself being able to keep up with the blueprint wiring without pausing to check anymore because the fundamentals of it are in my head - if someone who was completely new started on a later episode it might be a little fast but then if someone is after a specific topic they probably already have some background anyway 😊

Great vid. Just now got time to watch it and, for everyone hesitant, it's time well invested. Very clear. Thank you for this series!! Also, I'd love to see your Blender series. I have playing with it, but would love a tutorial series dedicated to game dev. instead of general Blender. -BP

When i try to color these chests and then build, it says uv mapping is overlapping. How to fix that? What does that mean?
@Beardgames3 жыл бұрын
When you unwrap a model such as a square you produce a UV map. Basically you lay it out flat so you can apply a texture to each side. If two sides are overlapping it can cause issues 😊 probably best to Google UV mapping, good luck and Merry Christmas!
