Few tips: - Dont use Cinematic with such large landscapes, it turns off all the distance culling on ground details... there are billions of meshes on this landscape... use Epic - There is a bug in 4.26 with landscape LODs, reset their lod settings to the engine default, that will fix the weird edges on cave entrances - the ice uses displacement that can have a massive performance impact when in cinematic mode because distance based tesselation and lods are turned off.

@@Jsfilmz I have set up the maps the way that they look and run well in Epic mode, Cinematic only removes the culling and pushes LODs far out, there is no difference in foliage density between Epic/Cinematic. You can still use cinematic postfx, AA etc but keep foliage at epic

Sad state for pc gaming right now and to be honest gaming in general when people can't buy new consoles, cant build new computers.. The main problem I keep running into with 'next gen' graphics is that the materials just look 'off'. You can run a simulation as fast as you want but if its simulating on bad data it won't look good.

Might take some time, but I'd recommend dipping your feet in map modelling in blender. This exact demo can easily be recreated with using just 10% of the polys/ baked lights and whatnot. Your demos will run at max fps and a plus to this is you'll have far more flexibility with your level design

From 3d software right thru to Unreal. Getting wheels to react to terrain. Tanks/helicopters. Seen a great tutorial where they uploaded a movie seq to make tracks on tank to look like it was moving. Unfortunatley is was a silent tutorial. I hate them :/ Explosions? Seen some great niagra ones, expensive. Not too sure how to trigger them in sequencer AND THE BIGGY!!!... It will be action adventure, third person. I want to make realistic cutscenes and characters, that will require amazing scenery and animations. So please advise what GPU should I buy (windows) , what is the best option on the market and the configuration? (Now I have crashes all the time with error unable to assign texture or out of memory, when I import textures from Megascans or paint many layers on the landscape. Maybe there is also a configuration that I don’t know in Unreal, could you advise on that, too? P.S. hi there that texture streaming is set in the project settings so its unique to each project especially if you download them from the marketplace a 2070 should be plenty enough to be honest might need more ram though
