The fact that this hints at a battle between the “hero’s shade” and Stallord is amazing. And how the skeleton is left there as well.

Amazing and entertaining bossfight. You could make the animations of the boss a little bit more fluid, in this state he looks like a robot when he turns.

I feel like the attack animations are too slow, maybe a bigger blur effect would fix it? Or maybe speeding up the animation but having a bigger delay between attacks?

It's an absolutely spectacular scene, I like all the complex geometry that's bouncing light around. I also really dig the cinematography of the cut-scene. As far as 'Unreal engine fan-games' go, this one has to be the best put together that I've seen. Regardless I know how hard it must be to do animations for all the different characters in that scene, so animation is definitely a point of forgiveness in light of how well everything else is pulled off.

Looks freaking amazing, definitely room for improvement though, sorry if I sound a bit stiff Stallord is my favorite Zelda boss hands down i just wanna see him done justice, wish you could've gotten the actual arena done but I understand these things are difficult to model and program, actually took me a second to notice this was a few years old hope you've gotten a lot better and are doing what you enjoy

Incredible. Everything about this looks stunning! The only thing I would say is that the animation of the Stallord rising up from 0:54 almost knocked me off my chair with laughter. As typical feedback, ease in a little bit.. It's awakening from a slumber. Looked like it was accelerating back, and rocking around with maximum momentum (bit too mechanical for an undead lad).

The changes seemed really cool. The one main thing i'd tweak would be when stallord wakes up. U had this really epic suspense build-up scene before showing the inanimate stallord. But when he wakes up, he immediately starts moving. I would make his actions seem a bit slower until he stands up fully. One other change that would be really cool is have his bones spread out on the floor a bit more and when he wakes up, the bones start to come together to form his body. That would be some epic introduction to this fight!

If this were a typical room in the dungeon, a few passageways accessed by stair or push block, a map, compass and keys. God damn it, this is zelda. I mean this feels like a true 3d revision of the NES classic, as none have been. ...sans the mob. I look forward to seeing where you go.
@shadowboy28186 жыл бұрын
I love the concept of the attacks. It looks more intimidating than twilight princess's way of making stalllord's attack. The idea of knocking his eyes out on the first phase was very creative. I love what you did with the slow downs with the bow and arrow, mostly because it gave me botw vibes. My suggestions are to make the eyes more smaller, because it looks more intimidating when you see the blackness surrounding it. Also try darkening the eye's glow, it's just too bright. The attack animations seem a bit off, it just looks too stiff and too quick. I was personally expecting you were gonna do more with his spine but, hey it's better to have something a little more different.

shadowboy 2 I mean not to knock on this fight because it is really good, but how is that original? Literally every Zelda game ever has a boss that involves shooting out eyes or hands (or both)

You have done a astounding job in the process of remaking the Zelda franchise. I can only see two things that need modifying in this video though. One is the Sword moves kinda slow. It just seems like it doesn't have much of a swing to it. The other thing is the Stallord should at least try to use his other hand to fight when he's covering his eye. Other than that it's great!
@TDzyne6 жыл бұрын

@giannistsoumpris95556 жыл бұрын
link's dodge XD animation and hitting animations are slower that they should be (sword should weight a ton to swing that slow :P ) try speeding them up the will better and more accurate to real life movement. it think at least for the last one :P But overall pretty nice keep it up :D
@markguyton28686 жыл бұрын

A lot like Fyrus (the boss from the Goron Mines) in Twilight Princess. I could see this being an early dungeon boss. Shoot eyes. Stab with sword. Something seems missing, a special oomph. Even vs Fyrus you had to pull his chains before you could stab him. I saw the Temple of Time Spider boss you created, and it's similar to that one too. Maybe a second phase is indeed . Maybe instead of the Spinner wasting an item spot, Spinners would be part of the world, where he go to it, press A to climb on it. Would this replace the Shadow Temple boss? Or would this Ocarina of Time version include new dungeons like an Arbiter's Ground dungeon for this boss?

Runs very well if you've got a GTX 1080 and an I7 8th gen CPU. Though sometimes pausing doesn't show the buttons/help text, and clicking the 4K button minimizes the program and causes it to re-minimize itself whenever I try and restore it. Also, it would probably be a lot more playable if I could get it to work with my actual N64 controller (I've got an N64-to-USB adapter). Looks amazing, of course.

You should add an idle animtaion to him, so he moves a little bit while not attacking, it would look even more natural, also i think making the arrows slower would also make it even better but hell good job
@MoxieCat6 жыл бұрын
This looks pretty good, but I agree with the comments about the animations. There's no sense of weight or force behind them. For example, when the Stallord slams his hand down, you could have it start to come down slower and speed up before it reaches the ground. The materials and lighting look great, though. Keep up the good work!

Love this man! I do however feel that for the second phase of the battle, his AI should be updated to be more challenging, such as him using a huge bone as a club/sword to swing at Link. It's currently just dodge roll, a little too predictable in my honest opinion.

@KryyssTV6 жыл бұрын
The animations on the boss need a lot of work. There isn't enough weight in the movements and there needs some more subtle idle or mid motion activity. I know it wouldn't breath but perhaps some shacking and rattling of the bones? Anyway, looks great but needs some TLC on the animation side.
@MrBLARG856 жыл бұрын
Just a tip from another Unreal developer: - lighting: - make sure your dark areas get enough lighting through "global illumination" (Some areas were pitch-black) - camera: - you probably want to widen the dynamic range as well. (So dark areas don't go to black too quickly/easily and bright areas don't go to white too quickly/easily) -(although the white light above the boss looked great) Overall, I like your project :)

I like this. These graphivs look awesome as well but I wouldn't expect anything less from an unreal engine creation. These engines produce very high quality graphical detail but I will say some of the animations look like they could be a little better. Other than that this is awesome like holy shit.

@Chester62526 жыл бұрын
good graphics and lighting but the stallord’s animations seem a bit stiff unless sped up in his second phase and the bow and arrow animation lacks detail. At first i didn’t even notice when Link was shooting arrows as it was almost identical to his animation when aiming, you could make the bow slightly bigger to draw more attention to it, or you could make it so when you are pulling the bow string the screen zooms in slightly, or you could just do what a lot of zelda games did and make it first person when using the bow
